    Lawson/Beverley
    Harden/McDaniels
    Ariza/Brewer
    Jones/Motiejunas
    Howard/Capela

Looks pretty damn solid. They desperately needed someone who can create and make plays for others outside of Harden, and now they finally got that with Lawson.

The top 6 in the West is so stupid GS, SA, OKC, LAC, Houston, and Memphis are all looking like guaranteed 55+ win teams.

I don't think an alcoholic, a guy who buys PAWGs off of insta, and a man who would still be smiling if you shot his momma is a good mixture for a basketball team. Although the first two aren't bad if you're loaded and don't care about

That starting 5 is the deepest in the West

That bench 1-4 is pretty darn good too. Probably the best bench in the West as well.

Rox did well to replace Beverly with a real PG. Lawson borderline all star caliber offensive player.

Spurs will regret not exploring trade. Lawson replacing Parker would have made Spurs unguardable. Spurs front office will regret this when fat and slow Parker cannot stay in front of Lawson

If I could be told that Howard and Harden would not be mental midgets for once, I would have this team as le cofavorites.

    Spursfan homer still

Tywon is typical UNC trash from a character perspective, but look at those assist numbers Rox big weakness was PG, like a certain other Southwest team, and now they fixed it

I'd keep Beverely in the SL and have Lawson come off the bench..Lawson's effectiveness would take a significant hit playing with Harden..

Harden hasn't played off the ball in years, and Lawson is one of the worst off-ball players in the NBA..they should have him as bench anchor for a bench that doesn't have anybody that can create for themselves, outside of the occasional Montejunas post-up..

To emphasize the "Rockets need someone to carry the offense when Harden goes to the bench" point...

Rockets' ORTG with Harden last year = 110.6 (would be 5th in the league), Rockets' ORTG without Harden last year = 96.6 (would be 2nd worst, only ahead of the 76ers)

Lawson might be a ty defender, but he's an excellent offensive player who, again, gives the Rockets a secondary playmaker.

Nuggets' ORTG with Lawson last year = 108.0 (would be top 10), Nuggets' ORTG without Lawson last year = 96.9

Clippers are significantly better than last year. This Houston team should be a big headache.

It's 4 deep with legit NBA players... only one scrub. Can't ask for much more. Monti and KJ are up and rising defensive studs, and Beverly can at least be a pest. Brewer can play at this level still.

Hopefully no spursfan tries to tell me Kyle Andersn and senior citizen Manu are the bench to beat.

I would still give GS the bench advantage of course...

I actually agree with this, but two things:

    1) I seriously doubt they'll do this, and even if they wanted to, there's no telling Lawson (a guy who's been known to cause locker room problems) would be fine with it

    2) Either way, Harden is playing 36-38 mpg...so the majority of Lawson's minutes are going to come while Harden is playing too.

Lawson is a legit alcoholic that has 1 foot out the door, tbh, I don't think he has much say about anything, at this point..I know athletes lack self-awareness, but I imagine he knows his situation is shaky, right now..

If Lawson comes off the bench, I agree that their bench unit is dangerous..if it's Beverley, I don't see it, dude can barely dribble the ball..

Hopefully this DUI motherfuker is a lockroom cancer.

Blow all their money on big booty strippers...Looks like Harden has gotten himself a stripper club best friend.

I know McHale is a mediocre coach, but even he has to be smart enough to realize that there should never be any moment where both Harden and Lawson are off the court. As long as they have one of those two on the court, they're practically guaranteed to have at least a decent offense tbh.

Spurs are ed ed ed... What a steal by the Rockets, didn't give nothing for a top 10 PG, keep all their young studs of Jones, Capela, Dmo, Dekker, McDaniels, even get to salary dump the Greek player... Now Rockets have the best PG position in the league, best three and D PG and a great complete offensive PG who is great playmaker that will help Harden carry the load in that regard, and what the Spurs have at the PG position? one way frenchman PG who past his prime, that his game doesn't age well and is injury prone and also a back up who his one trick pony... with playing in the west, Spurs have no chance this time and that what makes last year missed oportonity so much more hurt cause Duncan could have gotten his sixth and been done with basketball like he wants but now he have to comeback for a slim chance...

If Prigioni is released he'd be a good add for the bench. Still can play.

Barcelona is said to be close of signing greek player Perperoglou. It's noteworthy because he will likely be Deshaun Thomas in Barcelona.

Barcelona wanted to re-sign Thomas but he turned them down saying he wanted to give NBA a try. Barcelona moving on show that he was serious and that he should be at a NBA training camp this fall. If Spurs still value him as an interesting prospect, he will be a serious candidate to get that 15th roster spot.
