First semi-complete game I watch from him since Utah, and he looked a lot better. I still have a lot of questions both on his game translating to the NBA and fit within the team, but he looked much more in control than in his early SL games.

Interesting article on Summer league. As much as we rag on him as Spurs fan alot of these critics picked him as the most impressive "veteran" in Vegas. Makes me a bit more excited to see him this year, still worried about his ability to guard, then again he can't be any worse than Beli was on defense.

hey fatso, there's already a superior Fathead thread tbh....

I'm still not sold on him as a 3, just too slow, and he can't really change that. I would really like to see him bulk up and maybe become a stretch 4, he is already a good rebounder. Adding some muscle should allow him to bang down low a little bit I would think, given he would have to add alot of muscle, probably wouldn't be a quick 1 season thing.
I don't know. There is something about him that I like, but when I watch how dumb the majority of d league players are, the more I think that ka will get worked when he gets to the league because of his lack of athletic ability and how others will be a little smarter and a lot better than the compe ion he sees in summer league... but sa has to give him big minutes this year or get rid of him.
I've been more impressed with Simmons simply bc of more hype regarding ka. Put this into the mix with the 2 other role player signingssignings and sa fans have a reason to be optimistic one of these 4 will turn out to be a contributer to the spurs team.
Looks like he won the Summer League MVP.
Kyle Anderson wins summer league MVP but the real MVP of our team doesn't make the first or 2nd team..... just a name game, and Simmons doesn't have a name yet.
Good for him though... we also have last years SL MVP in Ray McCallum I believe?
Sam Amico @AmicoHoops
Spurs' Kyle Anderson named NBA Vegas summer league MVP. Larry Drew II, son of Cavs assistant Larry Drew, a second-teamer for Pelicans.
congrats
Hope kyle doesn't get big headed after winning the mvp tbh
There has got to be something missing here.
Does he really have that big of a head? You guys are weird
Yes. Dude gets his hats custom made.
Wasn't Ray McCallum a summer league MVP too?
Amazes me that people who spend the NBA season watching an incredibly slow unathletic 39 year old dominate "smart" athletic NBA defenders would think that KA can never be effective because he's slow and unathletic.
For Vegas he was the MVP of the championship game in 2014. Glen Rice Jr. Was the summer league MVP that year for Vegas.
Aaron Gordon was MVP of Summer league in Orlando for 2014.
Anderson should never shave off that wispy peach fuzz, it's good luck now. Nah, I can't even joke that.
