They'll miss us, too. And, everything else.
Lost in all the excitement of the off-season has been the status of Jeff Ayres as a Spur..it appears that his time here may be finished..
He will be missed greatly from an entertainment standpoint, tbh..
Those hands, those hands..we'll miss them..
They'll miss us, too. And, everything else.
those botched dunks, tbh
jeebus
uh huh!!!!!!!!!!!
He had a few solid outing.
At the end of the day, you can't blame a for hustling 2 million dollars away from the spurs. It was really boylen fault.
Also, everyone loved him.
Can't underestimate the importance of a good teammate IMO.
We won't miss you Jeff, but know that we appreciated your effort.
Jeff Ayres has more rings than Kevin Durant![]()
and Karl Malone
He gave some good minutes vs. the Rockets in April IIRC, that was the last thing I remember about him..
If wonder if someone would actually be dumb enough to sign him though.
Jeff Ayers was the Nando of spurs big men tbh
I still remember when the announcement was made we were signing him.. tons of posters here got all ing excited trying to convince themselves he would improve under the Spurs coaching staff
He got a ring outta it... Boylen too... what a country...
Dude had the tools to be exactly what the Spurs needed at the four (great PF size, athleticism, shooting). It just didn't work out. It happens that way sometimes.
In fairness it was hard to tell he had the career up gene from the videos that were available at the time
He did his best.
I'll never forget that time he actually wept out of frustration at his performance.
Ayres seems like a good guy. Though I enjoyed the talking and exstatic spinning. Least Ayres got a ring and improved in his time. Best of luck.
The only problem was that he couldn't catch the ball
how jeff ayers reacted to all the offseason moves

Ayers was a quality end of the bench guy. I think an NBA team will sign him for the upcoming season.
I was cautiously optimistic last year when he performed fairly well in Summer league. I thought he had turned the corner. But then again, IT WAS JUST SUMMER LEAGUE.

Maybe that was the moment he realized what spurfan saw in him each and every night - a ing dude; in which he realized that he was absolutely useless in life and the only reason he's on any team is because coaches think he's a good cheerleader and could run down the court at a reasonable speed as well as occasionally jump.
Only the Spurs do this you : Boylen gets a ring and promotion to associate HC elsewhere instead of bad league rep for his pathetic recommendation and ensuing failure on supposedly personal project that's Ayeres![]()
