    Lawson/Beverley/Terry
    Harden/Thornton/McDaniels
    Ariza/Brewer/Dekker
    DMo/Jones/Harrell
    Dwight/Capela

That is one deep lineup. Hope the young players continue to improve and Dwight stays healthy.

You're gonna miss Smith. He was a solid, serious basketball player as he hunted that ring. You have to replace that. You can't just pretend it didn't happen.

We replaced his playmaking abilities with a guy who is better at it. Plus, improved the free throw and three point shooting of the team. I crigned every time Smith went to the line. I won't with Lawson. You just hope the young bigs continue to grow and produce.

Not much of an upgrade over Beverley imho. Houston is a good destination for this drunkhead, nonetheless.

What use is it to bring Lawson in? We just drafted our future PG. Why have somebody like Lawson around our young players? It makes no sense.
Russell's not a point guard. He's Kobe's replacement more than anything. With Kobe not willing to go away anytime soon, Lakers are probably gonna screw up the kid's development by playing him out of position (not to mention picking up bad habits from Bryant).

A recovering alcoholic on a team led by Harden and Dwight? That'll end well.
Pretty much. Does nothing for me personally, but t fans like DJohn will probably bust a nut over getting a scrub who plays no D and can't shoot.

Harden can still spot up shoot for a bit when Lawson has the ball. I'd just stagger them a bit and have Lawson in with Thornton more. Not even worried though. They are friends off the court and good players find a way to play together. It is a damn steal of a trade. Gave up literally nobody for a starter that puts the Rockets in top four in the NBA.
You are right. Harden and Lawson will probably be staggered. Let Lawson start for show/respect. Pull him early so he can play more as the 2nd unit lead man. He can jack all the shot and play PG at the same time. Harden is honestly not a great spot up shooter.

The rox reminds me a lot of the jailblazers. Great talent, questionable character, no regard for team chemistry.

They can vmbe dangerous, go deep in the playoffs, beat anyone at anytime, but something will rear its ugly head at the wrong time and they will be kicked out of the playoffs year after year, the entire thing will collapse due to egos and morey will have nothing to show for his genius.

They have some regard for team chemistry. Smith was labeled a "cancer" before he got to Houston. Now look at him.

Not much of an upgrade over Beverley imho. Houston is a good destination for this drunkhead, nonetheless.
It's an offensive upgrade, but a defensive downgrade, so it a wash. But Lawson needs the ball in his hand to be productive, and with the Rockets offense being run through Harden, it probably going to be difficult for Lawson to fit in.

That is why Beverly is the perfect PG for the Rockets. Great defender, but doesn't need to be ball dominate, so he doesn't mind deferring to Harden.

Good pickup by the Rockets. Should use him as a 6th man, not a starter.

Perhaps it's just b/c I'm a Spurs fan and pay attention to what happens in the division but man, it seems like Dallas, Memphis, and Houston make 20 moves an offseason to become better.

This. All in all could be a steal especially if we see the Lawson we saw early in his career the past few he has been unimpressive. and i watch him fairly close as UNC is my mistress NCAA team. Bruins (of course) my primary squad.

Houston will probably be the 3rd best team in the west this season tbh. Lawson will add a nice dimension to their offense.

The problem is Harden and Dwight...Harden is literally incapable of playing off the ball...and Dwight wont play defense unless he has the ball...Ty is good but unfortunately those two mental midgets will it up...If Harden knew how to play off the ball like Clay Thompson the Rox could make some noise...
    Wut?

I know he's become a bit of a ball hog but Harden used to play with Durant and Chuckbrook for years. He had no choice but to play off the ball. His efficiency will probably go up because of Lawson being on the team instead of some ter like Lin or Beverley.

"ESPN sources say that the Lakers were also a determined trade bidder for Ty Lawson, but Denver clearly preferred what the Rockets offered"
