Didn't someone compare him to Robinson
Ayres did seem like a good teammate. I'm going to somewhat miss him as well as all the others(except Daye) we lost from the championship team: Belli, Cory, Baynes, and Splitter
Didn't someone compare him to Robinson
Why are ppl bumping this shizz up really? When not a couple of days ago, a lot of guys were thankful Bonner was signed bc it meant the end of Ayers. He was a good character guy but a very ty player TBH.
Personally I'm happy because I don't have to come up with Jeff ayres dad jokes
I'm light 1 without him. Jeff ayers will always be appreciated.
But when he did mess up he clapped his hands really hard and screamed. That means something.
Frustrating, I want Jeff Ayres to improve. He needs to drill all summer.
He's a below average player in the D League. He had no business being in the NBA. Good luck though Jeff.
I don't follow the SL, but wasn't Ayres underwhelming even in SL, despite being in his late 20s?![]()
At first glance I thought this was another one of your Apa threads.
He's a more athletic version of malik rose though!
Man, Manu makes scrub players looks soo good. I'm gonna miss him so much.![]()
I remember that
who said that again?
Damn those nifty Manu passesPeeps wouldn't know what we have had all these years until #20 hangs up..Only Timmy will leave a larger void..
I for one will miss Ayers. He's given some solid minutes here and there and been a useful enforcer at times. Also been a great source for moral support even when he's not seeing court time. If there's any chance they can keep him around, I hope they do. Doesn't deserve the level of hate he gets around here imo.
Agreed with this minus wanting him back. I like how he never sulked on the bench about playing time and he knew his role and supported the team. Unlike DeJuan Blair.
I've never seen a player give away so many fouls on offense when he wasn't even touching the ball.
Oh, and he couldn't catch.
Plus he missed half his dunks.
Thank god he's gone tbh
I don't remember, why the did Ayers play so damn much in that Pistons game? No wonder we lost, and was one win away from the 2nd seed
I was on your side 3/4 of the 2014 season, defending you in game threads but...you were terrible dude. Seem like a great guy, hopefully you find a gig in the D league or overseas, you have sure made your money and got a ring. Thanks for being the third best cheerleader on the bench.
This. The man was a good teammate. Someone has to be last, no real shame in it considering the quality of our team and its depth. Timmy seemed to like him. And we'll always have that strange yet entertaining story about the hotel the Spurs stayed in being haunted thanks mainly to Jeff.

I remember an article saying life was tough for him... He is a better bb player than 99.99% of the world population but not good enough for the nba but he tries

It was either exstatic or Tpark,![]()
It was definitely T Park.
Not only that, but he also suggested that Ayres close games over Diaw.
