Chip has his easiest assignment yet!
Probably his last chance to make it in the NBA. You better make the most of it.

Glorified try out. Why wouldn't you have him in camp? Will be interesting to track his progress
In PATFO I trust.
Can Jimmer still sign with another NBA team before camp or does $50k mean that he's committed to the Spurs till end of camp?
Jimmer? Solid pickup tbh.
Yeah, this is obviously his last chance in the NBA.
Training camp is going to be super compe ive between the young guys. I can't wait tbh. McCallum, Mills, Simmons, Jimmer, Anderson. Awesome![]()
To me he is insurance if Parker or Manu are out for extended times then the guys who can pick our offense and defense systems the fastest will get the playing time.
The 3 point shooting percentages will have to be off the charts for anyone to stick. What about Eddie?
He'd be committed to the Spurs to the end of the season, at least.
Contract means he's ours. But I bet Spurs would release him if he got a guaranteed deal elsewhere for the whole season. This is one of the few stops where he could have some legit success.
But can he ball out against Alba Berlin?
lol we all said the same thing about Green when we got him
End of season? Do you mean end of camp?
So he can still get offers and it is up to the Spurs to be nice?
INSURANCE.
So unlike last season injuries will no longer be an issue to not get the HCA.
Destiny is in our hands...![]()
5th team in as many years. Never liked him or thought he was more than a fad. Getting excited over this is sad...
Basically. His agent may kick the tire and find someone that wants to give him a guaranteed contract. It's not likely to happen, but the Spurs have let players leave before under similar cir stances. They let Hairston go to Europe for more money rather than compete for the 15th spot on the roster several years ago.
No, I think they have a contract for the season, but its not guaranteed, meaning Spurs can cut him, but he can't go elsewhere without being cut by Spurs.
I wasn't sold on Fredette signed to a guaranteed contract but for a training camp deal is a nice move.
What this signing likely also mean is that Spurs won't add a 15th player (who would have likely be a SG or a SF) to a guaranteed contract. I don't see Spurs convincing that soon in the summer Fredette and mostly his agent to commit with a team where he will have no shot a making the roster. Anderson and Simmons good SL should have change their stance about that need for a wing.
So this would mean they won't sign addl FAs from the SL team?
OMG, training camp will be so awesome.
I just don't know how they communicate with Bobi. No clue if the "el gigante" can speak english at all

Looks like it's official. Great get for a training camp spot. I would say 60% shot he doesn't make the team but it's worth seeing just how deadly he'd be in San Antonio's offense.
And the summer gets even better![]()
We'll at least get to see him play a few preseason games.
