You dudes are really worried about Eddie vs Jimmer.... let the dudes compete and the best one wins the 15th man spot. Not a big deal.

I don't get what there is to dislike about this deal...it has no downside. I remember a time when we had to start Matt Bonner, and now the Spurs are so stacked that a guy like Jimmer is fighting for a roster spot. For those saying he'll steal minutes from others, I guarantee he will have to earn them over the other guys on the roster. If he takes minutes from Simmons or KA it's because he beat them out in a compe ion.
Eddie doesn't have a chance to make this team.
Book it.
LMAO at all these expert "Spurs fans" thinking they know more than PATFO on this guy.
We've got our designated end of game FT shooter now![]()
Pop must be really trying to space the floor, tbh, imo. I heard Jimmer made 17 half court shots in a row. missed the 18th because someone sneezed.
I heard The Book of Mormon is playing in San Antonio now. Maybe Manu could take him to a showing to break the ice, tbh.
I wonder if the rumored Chris Copeland contract offer was similar to what Jimmer ended up signing. A make-good, non-guaranteed camp deal. It would make a lot of sense. And actually, I'd love for them to ink another potential veteran shooter to a similar deal (Rasual Butler maybe?). Toss in Jarell Eddie for good measure and you have a nice 3-way shooter's compe ion. Round that group out with two or three more future Austin assignees (Graham, Ndoye and Scott) and we've got ourselves a 20-man training camp squad.
Danny Green was once a discard. Now he's an NBA champion.
Just gotta find those diamonds in the rough, and I trust the Spurs track record.
Guess we can dust this off now.
Hope to see Fredette play like Re :
Watch how Re uses the screens to fire away. That's a very effective way to score and this gave Spurs defenders a lot of problems.
Alright, so we've got...
Parkers (FMVP, EuroMVP)/ Mills / McCallum (Summer League MVP)
Green / Manu / Fredette (assuming he makes it)
Leonard (FMVP)/ Anderson (Summer League MVP) / Simmons (Summer League FMVP)
Aldridge / Diaw / Bonner
Duncan (GOAT) / West / Marjanović (Euroleague MVP)
That pretty much sets the roster, eh?
Looks pretty in' good on paper.
For the 15th spot on the roster, that's all I'm looking for tbh.
Pop's about to break the game of basketball next year
There's no downside to this deal whatsoever. If Jimmer makes the roster and actually gets minutes in the rotation it'll be because he beat out the compe ion. And let's be honest, if he does that you have to give it to him...this is one of a deep and talented team.
See, what have i been trying to tell you guys.
Even that third string could compete in the East. 4 guys can hit the 3, 2 of them are snipers, 1 is super athletic, and Boban is freakin gigantic.
What's the background between Jimmer and Kawhi? Looks like they were in rival schools back in their college days.
All joking aside, if I remember correctly Jimmer is supposed to be a fierce compe or and extremely hard worker. Am I thinkering about the right person?
Manu - Euroleague finals MVP, 6th man of the year
Fredette - National Player of the Year
Leonard - DPOY
Diaw - NBA MIP
Aldridge - 4x NBA All-star
West - 2x NBA All-star
Only players without an individual award are Mills, Green and Bonner. But all 3 are NBA champions.
Team is loaded with excellence.

Put LMA at center tbh![]()
I agree with that, the Spurs biggest obstacle becomes health
Manu also has an Olympic MVP (2004)
