I was unaware Fredette played the role of Samwise the hobbit
But Bonner is a Slam Duk Champ if I'm not mistaken...

It's a surprisingly small list of players who have both NCAA and NBA championships.
Is Michael Jordan the only other UNC NCAA champion that has won a NBA championship?
When jim gets routinely embarrassed, kawhi will smile
Green apparently in elite company.

This team has so many MVP's right now.
Kinda like Green, like Mills, like Baynes, like SJax. C'mon, man. Jimmer is very talented offensively. He reminds me of Patty 2.0. Shooters like him mesh very well in the Spurs system.
James Worthy was Jordan's teammate on that le-winning team, so no.
Remember Jordan and Worthy played on the same team together at UNC that won the championship.
I'd settle for 48 and the chip tbh..
Well I see Jimmer sticking as this signing is obvious to limit both Parker's and Manu's playing time this season. As I mentioned before, I wouldn't be surprise if Manu only suits up for 50 games this season, injured or not, and not even travel on some road trips.
Last year, Manu had to play like 25-30 nights for almost two months because of all the Spurs injuries. Because of this, he didn't have much left in the tank for the playoffs. Signing someone like Jimmer, ensures that Manu and Parker will be well rested in the Playoffs.
Honestly, if you were to play the odds, I would estimate that 85% of all first round picks don't ever get it in their rookie contract. Of that 85%, maybe 10% finally get it after they've been traded or kicked out of the league.
If your an investing type, the place to buy low is to get washed up 1st round picks that are over 25 years old.
The only players in the Spurs roster that are under 25 years old are Spurs two draft picks, Leonard and Anderson (21).
This is exactly why I think the Spurs can continue to flourish in the future as long as they have stability in the front office. PATFO's longevity gives them the ability to make long term decisions and take advantage of other team's short-sightedness. There is such turnover in other team administrations that opportunities are created all the time. New regimes want their guys and many times jettison players that are coming into their primes and can be effective role players for a championship core.
Sure did

Jimmer never got his fair shake with the Kings as people fail to mention that Thomas was drafted that same year and Smart decided to play and develop more playing time to Thomas over Jimmer.
Spurs needed another shooter more than anything on their roster, with Beli departure and well, they got one.
Fredette has been on too many teams for me to feel comfortable attributing his struggles mainly to his environments. I hope he worked on his game, because despite the rhetoric of some here, it wasn't good enough to translate immediately to the pros, or else he would have seen more minutes.
Spurs have had several chances to break the 63-19 mark from 06' couldn't get it done. Would love to see the Spurs break the franchise record en route to 6
Red is one of the most efficient offensive players in the league.
More like Jim Morrison minus the mullett
My first thoughts agree completely with yours. TIMVP pointed out several examples of small shooters who took awhile to latch on and looking them up sure enough..
At best he is going to be a situational player. At worse- he'l l be cut with minnimal cost to the Spurs. If I had to bet money- I'd say he doesn't make it.

Does Jimmer have a chance in in San Antonio?

The more specific knock is that he was relying on the deep three to get his shot off in college because even at that level he didn’t have the quicks, wrist or ankle, to release clean any other way. Thrilling plays, but borne of just a little more necessity than you’d have liked, no matter how many of them the little er was knocking down.
