Watching TNT right now (can't get enough of the awful Lakers), seeing TMac reminds me that he's a way more fun human victory cigar than Austin Daye / Reggie Williams / etc.

    Of course you don't.
chump you're like the tea party in alice in wonderland. man, i throw my hands in the air. RW is a nobody, who at least ex even agrees is in the way of somebody at some point. unless ex and you are trying to be some sort of cute, which i kinda feel is the case... but idk because "would you like a cup of tea?" GR jr is clutch, but you don't care, because RW is old and has played in the NBA. Anderson should be playing all garbage minutes that RW gets, and i'd give him a lot of Bonner and Ayers for good measure. Unless he can play in a d league playoff game where he might be put in a meaningful clutch opportunity. and i only say that as a concession to the seemingly, imo, weak point of meaningful d league minutes being better for development than garbage nba minutes.

Rice can't get his shot off in the NBA.

Anderson is better off playing in the D-League playoffs right now.

    That's all.

i agree. do you think Anderson would be better during the d league playoffs if he had more of Bonner and Ayers minutes, this season?

Basketball is all about confidence. Period. If Anderson can dominate in the D-league and get reps and actually play..good for him. He cannot progress as a player getting RW minutes in garbage time.

It did wonders for Corey Joseph and I expect it'll do the same for Kyle. Spurs know what they're doing.....

Reggie Williams fully guaranteed? Somehow I doubt that. Mid-season D-League signings basically never come with any fully guaranteed years except if there is a bidding war. Were multiple people vying for Williams last year when we scooped him up? Yea, I didn't think so either.

Strange post. Why then sign Fredette for a partial guarantee if there's already 15 players with contracts. Also, why hasn't Spurs renounced Reggie Williams yet. Very odd indeed.

Interesting. Why would he say it is "bad news" for Fredette? Didn't Fredette sign just a deal just a couple days ago?

So is Monroe saying that Fredette signed a deal to go into training camp with an open slot in the roster? How does that make sense?

In addition to Williams, there is also competing salary info as to whether Bonner is guaranteed or not.

If Bonner isn't guranteed, then why is Monroe saying that there are 15 *fully* guaranteed spots.

Bonner, Williams, Fredette, and Monroe, all involved in a fluid story. This might be called the four men of Monroe.

They wouldn't renounce Williams as he isn't a free agent. Hes inked to a contract. The debate now regards the level of financial commitment attached to it at this time. Fully guaranteed or only partially? Every indication we've gotten prior to this tweet was that it was a mostly non-guaranteed deal (if not completely non-guaranteed) for 2015-2016. This would allow the Spurs to cut him prior to the start of the season with no cap substantial cap hit. The Spurs probably held him for potential financial flexibility (in a trade). However, barring that, he'll go to camp and have to win a roster spot. The team does this regularly and sometimes the carry-over player from the previous year that every one expects to get cut out of camp actually makes the team (looking at you Danny Green). And sometimes one of the camp bodies explodes and gets a surprise contract (anyone remember Desmon Farmer?). Surprises do happen. But hes probably just another camp body.

Reggie Williams could still be waived. I might actually prefer Fredette over this clown.

Waive him. It would be like bringing back Austin Daye last year. No point to it.

Eric Pincus, who has access to the NBA contracts details, is saying that Williams is on a fully non-guaranteed contract without a guaranteed date. Given that the E-N crew has already been wrong on contract details and that it makes little sense that Williams contract is guaranteed, I would go with the non-guaranteed version.

Except if he ask to be "freed", Williams will have a shot at making the roster with the 15th spot. I would say that it's a long shot Spurs keep him but he fits with what Spurs need as 15th player (shooter wing). His contract could also be used at the end of the training camp in a small trade if it's needed. A whole training camp will greatly help Pop to assess Spurs roster end detect a potential weakness that need some fixing.

It's Jeff McDonald..'nuff said..The dude is your typical vanilla/puff piece reporter and that's about it...He wouldn't have access to break a story with accurate details about a player even if it's his son who is playing for the Spurs ..

It's actually Mike Monroe who is saying that Williams deal is guaranteed.

Don't count on me to bad-mouthering E-N writer crew. They are brilliant basketball minds with great writing skills and angel-like personalities. We all can just be deeply thankful to have such amazing people covering Spurs. We are truly blessed.
