What's hilarious is that Kaminsky probably would have been available at 15. What's even more hilarious is that Portis is better than Frank and was available into the 20s.

This. They likely could have got both Kaminsky and Portis + two additional 1st round picks. Or at the very least could have had Lyles and Portis if Utah would have picked Frank.
Terrible GMing. Didn't their GM mention something like : we hadn't concentrated on the middle of the draft, only around our draft position, so we didn't know the players outside of that range. Or something along these lines. Incompetent doesn't even begin to describe this.
Side question - did Miami turn down that 4 picks offer too? Or did Boston not offer them the same deal - they were after Winslow after all and Miami could have used some of these picks to attach to bad contracts and get under the tax?
its clear jordan isnt thinkn about building a playoff team or anything
his only interested in complying with the minimum requirements within the team cap, so he can collect the tax sharing revenue...i believe the pot this year is around 100m due to clippers, cavs overspending to keep their roster
could collect upto 10m, which is probably more then what he will collect at the gates if he fielded a strong team
He's rolling over for $10 million? He could lift that out of petty cash in a few months.
true
but i doubt the nba team is making him any money compared to his other investments
the only time he will see a return on his nba t eam is when he sells it...
he's a billionaire.
Were any of the firsts protected? Cos that makes a big difference.
Jordan is probably thinking he'll turn into the next Larry Bird.
Jordan respects the white man's work ethic, can't blame him for that.
