lol, no
Since the Spurs are looking for a veteran wing to fill out the roster, and since there was a thread earlier about Mike Miller, might as well throw in Gerald Wallace's name into the mix. He was just traded by Golden State to Philadelphia and is about to be waived by the Sixers.
Wallace, who has played 14 seasons, played 32 games with the Celtics last season and averaged 1.1 points per game. He is scheduled to earn $10.1 million this season in the final year of his contract.
With 15 players already under contract and draft picks still unsigned, the 76ers might end up waiving Wallace.

lol, no
Nobody wants GW, tbh.
Hard to believe it was only a few seasons ago that he was traded for #6 which turned into Damian Lillard.
Nets
A 6.7 "wing" who has lost much of his athleticism (which he was renowned of) & never really develop much of shooting & dribbling skill needed at that position, pass.
He has to be one of the 5 or 10 worst players in the league right now. I'd rather bring McGrady back.
how many roster spots do we have left to fill?
My exact quote when the Spurs drafted Kawhi was that they'd just gotten Wallace at one tenth the cost. I didn't know I had criminally underrated Kawhi tbqh. Wallace was good for defensive purposes only about five years ago. Now he's lost even that. Sad tbqh. If he'd have made it to the Spurs earlier in his career then there might have been done hope for his game. As he is now, that would be a waste of a roster spot tbqh.
5 years ago, sure. Now? No.
Sign him for training camp compe ion
Probably not much of an upgrade over ka.
For the minimum why...no.
Zero. Not including quality d-leaguers, we're one over right now.
Wallace's only skill at which he's above average at this stage is inbounding. No joke, he's great at it.
With the trouble the Spurs and Tim had last year at inbounding that really might be worth it to not cost us those 2 or three games again tbhFunny you should mention that.
The corpse of Gerald Wallace you mean? Uh, no.
Wallace as Kawhi backup? Kyle Anderson clearly deserves that spot.
Clearly? No.... but he will have a chance to compete for it.
Hakeem Olajuwan looked more NBA ready in the Africa game. Even the Iceman displayed a more recent video of a player exhibiting an NBA skill. Pass.
The first question to ask oneself about a role playing wing for Spurs is: can he hit an open 3?
If the answer is no, like for Wallace, the player in all likelihood isn't a good fit for Spurs.
Not to mention Wallace looks done...
Compete with...? McCallum, Simmons, Fredette, Green, Manu, all are guards.
