I don't think so. Not a fan of the color pink. I would ask you what your name is but I d.g.a.f. and it's not germane to the situation. Your probably saying to yourself the god d### Germans got nothing to do with it. They don't, ftw, they don't.

The media likes to sell that; but I don't buy it. It always comes down to money. It must be an opportunity to increase exposure and thereby marketing revenues.
This might come as a surprise, but Europeans hold National Team basketball in higher regard than club basketball. It is actually a very big thing in Europe and hardwired into every European player growing up. Not just basketball, either.

Even if that's true; it doesn't explain all the high profile players playing for Team USA.

Also, just my perspective on the internationals; I guess national pride is an element; but I think it's also a lot due to the same players playing each time; it's like belonging to a frat.

If you love playing basketball and have compe ive nature (which great players need to have) you are eager for compe ive basketball between July and November ... at a certain age you need the rest, but players in their twenties should play for their national teams.

It does work like that. Many Europeans have their first taste of high stakes compe ion playing for the junior National teams (U17s, U19s etc), and grow up together like brothers in arms , no matter their club affiliation. Team USA is more of an elite mercenary group compared to , say, Team Spain's standard conscripted army. I guess for Americans getting selected is more about status than National pride, with the possible exception of hunting for an Olympic Gold.

Is Patty even eligible to play? I know some rules and regulations were set up so that if a player wanted to play in the Oceania Championships, he had to first be available for the European tour. Patty wasn't available for the European tour because of his shoulder injury. Is there some type of exception because of Exum's injury?
