    LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – The father of recent NBA draftee D'Angelo Russell is in trouble with the law, according to police.
    40-year-old Antonio Russell was arrested July 31 after being pulled over during a traffic stop.



    Officers say the elder Russell was stopped in a white Maserati near the intersection of Dr. WJ Hodge and Chestnut Street for not wearing a seatbelt.
    After the stop, the LMPD officer discovered a water bottle filled with red liquid which was later determined to be codeine. Police also say Russell admitted to having marijuana in the vehicle.He was charged with possession of a controlled substance, tampering with physical evidence and having marijuana.


    WHAS-TV tried to get comment from Antonio Russell but were unable to reach him and he doesn't have an attorney yet.
