This was done to help the ratings from a Lakers perspective. Even the s are quitting watching the games.
Not even Aldridge could help them misfits....
Lakers vs. Clips..
GSW vs. Cavs
Pelicans vs Heat

You gotta take it easy with the porn kool..You might be watching a little bit too much.
Dumb decision by the league none of these games are really entertaining matchups. Clips vs Lakers will be another 50 point blowout massacre that will go the Clippers way. Clips vs Spurs would have been much more entertaining from a compe ive standpoint.
It is an odd selection of games. Cavs/Warriors obviously makes sense. I'm not sure what they are thinking with the other two though. Miami/NO is really random.
Its really weird you would think they would have tried to have good matchups instead of the crap they picked out.
Something like
Houston/Spurs
Clips/Warriors
Cavs/Bulls
Lots of big markets and decent games.
I thought they always had like 5 games on x-mas....
Did they lower the # to 3 this year?
Yes that was what I was thinking and even including the Thunder considering they are an elite team when Durant is healthy.
Given that only losers watch NBA on chrismass.no wonder the Lakers are playing![]()
Spurs Clippers would've been good. More than likely pop called and said no Christmas day games.
Also, just checked Spurs record on Christmas day games. They blow. So they're saving themselves a loss right there.![]()
Yea, I went to the christmas day game 2 years ago against the Rockets. We got a beat down and there were annoying Rockets fans by me. Was still a nice thing to do on Christmas though.
Something for Lakers instead of playoffs I suppose.
Good, hate watching those games anyways.... Spurs seem to mail it in when they play on Christmas day except when they played the Suns that one year and Mason hit the game winner![]()
I wouldn't be surprised if Spurs Front office said they didn't want any christmas games. Not a lot of athletes like to play on Christmas ........ unless they are losers without family ..... old sport
..... Duncan has family,,,it's guaranteed by the state.
That's why he doesn't want to play on Christmas ........ old sport
I can't wait to watch some ty brand of basketball on Christmas.
I was up your way all week Dale. Hot as . How do you stand it?
The only team worth watching there is the golden state warriors.
Meh, it's honestly not that important, I'll watch the CLE/GSW game of course but not having so much basketball means more time to eat turkey, stuffing, pumpkin pie, chocolates and drink eggnog honestly. (I'm 5'8" 120 & have a blistering metabolism)
Scheduling the Lakers on Christmas day is pretty much a mandatory annual tradition, similar to the Lions on Thanksgiving. The Lakers have played on 16 Christmases in a row, with their last off Christmas coming during the 1998-99 lockout. I'm not surprised they maintained the tradition.
