Yeah me too. But give it a few listens and you'll like it. It's not as easily likable compared to Life is Good, but a solid album nonetheless.

I gave it three to four full listens before fully understanding the album. It's not bad, it's not just that easy to wrap around your head

Maybe the 16 year gap and expectations . I was 7 when Chronic '01 got released and was a few months old when Chronic came out. I'll definitely give it a second listen but one criticism I have is, I wish he kept the guest list shorter (Ice Cube, Snoop, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, Xzibit, Game). Chronic had a much shorter list (Snoop was actually on 11 of the 16 tracks).

BTW really hope NaS comes out this year. Life is good was even better than i expected. Black Bond, Accidental Murders, The Don, Nasty, Cherry Wine were my favorites.

Not big into R&B-hiphop anymore but really liked Channel Orange ( Sweet Life, Thinking Bout You, Bad Religion, Pyramids). If NaS, Kanye, and Jay Electronica all drop this year i might faint.
