Oh no!
I'm sure some journeyman half breed like Matt Barnes would love to play with Lebron.
Preach! Another instance of LeBron using his influence to take a stand against the white-jew power structure running the league. Get paid, nig; these are billionaires we're talking about.
Nope... GM Lebron is icing this out because he knows he has another super friend coming in next season. No need to waste money on run of the mill players like Tristan and JR.
Tristan Thompson is threatening to turn down $80 million and leave the Cavs if he doesn't get a maximum contract
https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/t...195907614.html
Who else will offer him anything close to $80M?
$80 million is a max contract.
It's not.
I thought he was already resigned..you telling me..this....realistically...believes..he's worth the max?
him and his agent is on some serious smack
Same ty agent as Bledsoe, who tried to hold the Suns hostage last offseason. And then, with the player having almost zero leverage, the Suns mostly capitulated and gave him a $72m contract. I'll never understand it.
To be honest, the Cavs better do this. Who else is going to clean up the boards when they need second chance points to account for shooting at abysmal percentage but still winning.
They've got a ton of offensive boards off this guy and when it comes down to it.
This. Love is the better offensive player but he's a softy and a whitey. Need a tough bruiser in there for the grind-it-out games
Is he even going to start tbh?
He's not better than Mozgov. At least not $15m better.
They'll need him because he's annoying when he's your opponent. LeBron always needs a guy down low to clean up like he had Birdman and Battier.
If it comes down to the Spurs being at the finals and the Cavs being there, they'll need all the second chances point they can get. Even if they meet the Spurs there, they won't stand any type of chance because Spurs.
I guess technically a 4 year deal would start at $21 million with roughly 1 million a year in raises would be $87million 4 year deal. Are they saying that he is going to walk because $7 million over 4 years? This is effectively a max deal right now.
He wants CLEVELAND to give him the deal. So that would be the same deal Kawhi got (which is like $93M/5). He's being offered $80 Million over five years right now, not four. So yes, you're talking about quite a bit of change.
$80 millions for a one trick pony bench player.

The Cavs should offer 5 years $35M. It's long-term, right?
It's tough because he's not worth a ton league-wide in terms of his skill-set, but he's worth a lot to the Cavaliers in terms of what he brings to them.
Which begs the question, again, who will pay him close to what the Cavs are offering?
No it doesn't beg the question. Begging the question is a logical fallacy, circular reasoning. What you mean is it raises the question, not that it begs the question.
