You thought that guy would beat Mayweather? He came in 15+ lbs heavier due to his ability to rehydrate, but he had never displayed any kind of technique to keep up with Mayweather.

Man I used to love betting mexicans back in the day in boxing. They don't even have to know who the ing guy is as long as he's a mexican is worth losing money over.

Canelo will most likely dominate Cotto, he's younger, hungrier and bigger. . Miguel has never been the same after the Margarito fight and Manny pretty much ended his career. Canelo is the next big thing.

The closer the fight gets the more I think canelo is gonna take it. Cotto hasn't fought anyone as powerful as canelo since pacquiao, and history tells us when the going gets tough cotto tends to go into retreat mode. Idk though, I still can see cotto winning it.

It's not Not a lot of people knows Canelo nor Cotto. Neither of these guys are huge stars outside of hardcore boxing fans. If you're not Mexican, there's a good chance you don't know which one is Canelo They probably wouldn't even break 500k buys tbh.

Canelo fought Mayweather in one of his bigger PPV fights, that loss put Canelo on the map - people know the guy and know he is an aggressive boxer. Unlike Golovkin who hardly anybody really knows, Canelo and Cotta are known names - they'll earn a lot seeing that all the casual fans are savoring for that late round KO.

Honestly tho, I don't think casuals cares a lot about this fight. None of my friends even ordered this on PPV and they pretty much represent the casual boxing nation ordering anything that has Pacquiao and Rousey's name on it lmao.

Canelo is a hot name tho but Mexicans love their boxers and he has a whole nation behind him.

Wilder/Fury would bring casuals back tho Heavyweights with great build up, Ward-GGG and GGG-Cotto/Canelo too.

We'll see then, I think this might be Canelo's second biggest fight by far. I know LBE is salivating at it.

You'll get a million due to Mexico vs Puerto Rico. Canelo should take this fight if he boxes but if he decides to trade... Cotto will finish what his brother started.

Actually, I retract my statement, that was pretty stupid. Each fighter usually does 350k, so I can see this fight closer to 900k, maybe even a million like you said. Still surprised though since it's not generating a lot of buzz. Wouldn't hurt if Jay Z also promoted it...

Hard fight to call but a lot of you guys are underestimating Cotto...he's a different fighter this last few years and Canelo is still an untested outside of his May fight where he the bed. I'm not betting on this fight...too close to call...of course after wards everyone is gonna say it was an obvious result
