I like Beats, but they are overpriced flimsy crap headphones that appeal mostly to lemmings.
And whatever you think of Beats, show me a better option to sleep in than the $20 SleepSheeps.

So are you cheapskates going to buy my phones or what? I thought this place was swimming with millionaire audiophile playboys.
Yeah. You talked me in to it. What colors do you have?
Yeah, you got any Beats?
Both are wood, but if you really want I can put a be met of cheap plastic on it and paint it bright blue.
I can source a couple of fake ones and sell them to you at full price.
Damn it, where the are all those rich doctors and investment bankers?
Wood. Who are you? Abe Lincoln? Can you whittle me up a cell phone? Let's face it. You don't have any headphones to sell.
Me having wood headphones mean I have don't have headphones to sell? I am having trouble with your train of logic.
BTW, before you get a cell phone, learn how to use google. It's an amazing search engine, really versatile. You can actually look up the headphones I am trying to sell, and can tell they are both wood.

Need to PM them and get these headphones off me for above market value. I love ignorant rich people.
PM me a purchase and sale agreement along with the biographies of your parents and serial numbers of the headphones. I'll forward on to the rich ignoramuses. I will ask for a finders fee though should it result in a sale.
Aren't you one of those people though? I thought you are pulling in quarter or a million.
Irrelevant. I already have badass headphones. And I wouldn't buy used wooden headphones.
Lol. Now this is how you do it.

I have a pair of Beats headphones, but it seems like everyone has similar headphones, so I wanted to differentiate them.
I made this by applying a maple veneer to the surface of the headphones.
Materials:
A pair of headphones, I used beats headphones, but any headphones with flat or gently curving surfaces will work.
An 8X18" sheet of Birdseye maple veneer (You could get away with smaller than this, I did not use it all)
Two part epoxy
Wood finish of choice ( I used wipe on Polyurethane)
Wood stain (Optional)
Tools:
Sand paper ( I recommend a variety of grits, from including ~120, ~220, and ~400)
A T6 torx screwdriver
A #0 Philips head screwdriver
A small flathead screwdriver (to pry apart headphone parts)
Clamps (lots of them!)
I made this project at the Georgia Tech Invention Studio
STEP 1: DISSASSEMBLE THE HEADPHONES
Dissassemble the headphones
Dissassemble the headphones
Dissassemble the headphones
Dissassemble the headphones
Before applying the veneer disassemble the headphones as much as possible. I did not do this and started applying veneers with some of the parts connected, and it made the gluing process more complicated, then eventually I had to disassemble them, so you should just start by disassembling it.
I used this video for guidance while disassembling the headphones: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=brwD3pc8ZB8
Be careful while taking the headphones apart, they are snapped together, and the tabs that hold parts on can break if excessive force is used.
Yeah, enjoy your Beats, you got the ignorant part down pat, just missing the rich side.
As for the above post, why would you link to wooden phones? I thought you'd hate them.
You're a contrary sort. Those weren't wooden headphones. The artist used a veneer. But I had a good chortle at the time and effort spent on trying to improve on exceptionality.
What's your game here? To put together a list of suitors for some twisted caper?
The artist had some talent, but really defined putting lipstick on a pig.
My game is to sell my headphones. They are great headphones, but they just don't really synergize with my gear. I would eventually want to get what Tim Duncan wears, HiFiman headphones. I have their older model HE-500, but would eventually like to upgrade to the HE560, or even the HE1000, but that's just way out of my price range. I really wish I can pull in dough like these successful people here on Spurstalk and buy whatever i want.
I don't know what all those models are or if they are even real. But if you really want a pair of expensive headphones, my advice is to sell the ones you have and put that money towards your purchase. It would be foolish to have three pairs of headphones.
That's what I am doing.
Also try and google if you really care, but it seems like you don't, which makes me wonder why you are in this thread.
It's a message board. You brought up headphones which surprise...opened up a discussion of...headphones. You made fun of what I have. No big deal. But I don't need another set. So I'm not going to bother Googling them or what Tim Duncan has. I would be interested enough to look at them if you posted pics and descriptions.
I opened up a thread about SELLING headphones, so yes, I am surprised that I am getting response about an ignoramus asking simple questions about headphones, just like I would if somebody came in and start talking about rocket fuel because I opened up a thread about man-made objects.
Also, I don't really care if you know, but you took the time to ask me the questions, so I reasoned it would be quicker and easier for you to actually type into that google search bar in your browser to get what you want instantaneously.
OP buying Grado instead of Sennheiser.
