Somewhere in Southern Germany, not sure of the town name tbh. Near the Austria/Germany Border. They got out and came to the states shortly before WW2 started. Had a few relatives die in concentration camps for being Catholic though.
Are you sure the reason they were incarcerated was for being Catholic? Most the Nazis were Catholic (in theory, in practice atheists) and the Pope was on relatively good terms with Hitler until the middle of the war of so.

On a side note, I am considering moving to Berlin. Anyone lived there? Liked it?

Yea it was really weird, they actually targeted the Catholic church as well. Found an article about it if you care to read it, long read, but pretty interesting. Most people don't know Catholics were killed in the holocaust as well. Only reason I do is because of my relatives.

The Nazis struck out against both major christian churches as well.
Regarding the move to Berlin, I've never lived there but if you like bigger and busy cities it's a nice place to live. Berlin does have some neighbourhoods which are less friendly than others but it isn't the worst city in Germany in that regard.

Thanks. Yeah, my residency permit is up in Riga, Latvia (where I live now) and I always wanted to live in Germany. I love Munich and Hamburg, but never been to Berlin. So, I'm considering my options.

I've never been to Germany and have always wanted to visit though, have heard great things about it. Probably will make my way across the pond next summer.

Munich is great, and I'm sure many other cities are fantastic too. You should give it a try when you get the chance.

Just wanted to bump this thread in light of Kawhis recent great play and say thank god that FO didn't trade Kawhi for Beal and Ariza like Aunt er9 wanted. Can you imagine where we would be?

Obviously replacing Manu with JJ is beyond stupid, but what has that to do Apo wanting to trade KL for Beal/Ariza?

Thought this needed a bump with the return of the Pinoy Aunt er.

Lets not forget although he tries to put on a brave face and pretend he was a huge Kawhi fan from the beginning that he was quite late to hop on the Kawhi train.
