Probably would, but I'd much rather write a longer answer. Tune in a 9 EST for an update.
A simple yes or no will suffice.

I don't see how he's all that different from a Thabo Sefalosha, who has had success for two different teams and two different systems.
That being said, it seems like something about Pop reigns in something about Danny that was keeping him from being an NBA player before.
Yes he is, Danny is our most systemish player ever and it works.
Sure, not always works but he was a nobody in Cleveland and a big player in SA thats why I think he is the biggest system player we have, 3&D.
Too bad he is so inconsistent.
Anyone who voted for systems player doesn't understand basketball.
He makes shots. Open shots. Really well. That works in every, every, every system.
He defends. Moves well, Really well. That works in every, every, every system.
you player fans for trying to minimize the talent of the other less glamorous part of our perimeter defensive talent. It's so very causal fan to like Kawhi and his blocks and dunks but make open shots and pressure your man and your dead to them.
uh, how about 3-4 years of maturity and practice. Isn't it great how the spurs system naturally aged him to his physical peak?
How do you not understand that Green is a player forged in hardship like Kawhi. That Cleveland ing around led him to work his ass off. If he came from NC to the spurs at first he probably would have been the same jack off he was in Cleveland.
you want a systems player? Try Kawhi on offense........................................... ....................tbh
Yeah man but not every player gets cut just like that, PATFO saw some potential and he came aboard like they did with other guys, Danny cant even dribble the ball but turned out to be a great addition for our team, he is a product of SA development system, Im not sure about that NC from SA thing Spurs are much better than other teams developing players Danny had confidence issues and CLE didnt have patience so they kicked him out, maybe in SA practices he was draining threes and everyone was WTF!?
Kawhi is a hard worker too but was on another level, I think Kiwi on other team would have much better stats as a main scorer even if the team is a mess strategically speaking because he is physically gifted to play ball, Danny on the other hand out of SA could have confidence issues, get inconsistent and do horrible things, he is a great addition for us, but he is a limited player cant shoot from everywhere doesnt have lots of moves etc, he is trained to work in a Spurs enviroment, thats why I say he is our biggest system player.
I'm too lazy to make a long post
but Danny Green is between System and Star player.
Everyone is really a system player, but from what most fans imply..A system player is someone that thrives under a particular system.
Danny Green's Defense will thrive regardless where he plays. His shooting might take a dip, but most teams now can find the open corner three.
Danny Green will be Danny Green in any team today
I guess, Danny is a super role player...He's like Tyson chandler or a Draymond Green.
Absolutely. He catches and shoots, that's it. He has to be in a system where team mates can get him good looks.
Not to take anything away from Green; Spurs system maximizes his talents.
Cleveland, Memphis, Okc, Clippers, Hawks
playoff teams that he'd start for
LOL no way he starts over JJ Red
he'd be a great fit for CLE thats where I had him going tbqh
Just because Green can start in a handful of teams don't mean he's no system player.
he would struggle to get on the floor on most teams
He scored most of his points on insolation plays last season, most points-made-unassisted. He's a system player K...evin?
2014 was the beginning

YOU DISGUSTING EXCUSE FOR A HUMAN BEING...Kawhi has developed a nice mid range shot.
TURN OFF YOUR CAPS LOCK...please.
Danny Green is one of the best NBA three points shooters, one of the best one-on-one defenders, he left a lot of money on the table to be a Spur...
Ungrateful es
So if we define a system player as a player who can only play in a single system or a collection of specific systems i.e. is reliant on that system to be effective then Danny Green is a sytem player. However Danny Green is not reliant on a specific system to be effective. Every single offensive system in the NBA generates open 3s. This means that Danny Green would be able to play effectivly for every single NBA team. Is he perhaps more effective in the spurs system than in others? Sure. Would he start on every other team in the NBA? Of course not. Teams with a star SG like the Rockets or Miami would not start Green. Every other team most probably would.
Add the Wizards (Dudley) & Bulls (Dunleavy), to that list
