Hold on, about the +/- shenanigans. Wasn't Kawhi on Red most the time he was on court? I seem to recall that a lot and it being explicitly brought up in analysis. Also, as mentioned before, Kawhi was most often on the court with Parker. So who was Parker on? How much was he on CP3 and not hidden on Barnes?
God this offseason can't end soon enough.

BTW Kawhi had 111 FGAs, 24 of them defended by Matt Barnes i.e 22% second being Griffin with 10 of them defended by him less than 10%... confirming a few things, Matt Barnes was primary Kawhi defender and he did a pretty good job knowing Kawhi missed 70% of the time converting just 7 of the 24 attempts against Barnes.
On the other side Matt Barnes had 49 FGAs, 13 of them defended by Kawhi i.e 26% second defender being Parkerwith 10 defense... Now Matt Barnes converted 7 of his 13 FGAs for 54% FG%
Now go try and spin dat explaining Kawhi was second most consistent Spurs this serie while he could not defend against Barnes and get denied 70% by the same Barnes on the offensive side... not even going to insist more on Parker worst NBA PG in 2014/2015 defending 10 times better against the same player a SF

troof bumb hammer is Kawhi had a subpar serie according to the high standard he set up for himself to say the least... he has been outplayed by 35 y/o Barnes and part of the reason we lost this serie
Kawhi averaged 20 ppg on ~48% that series. Such a shut down.

If you think we lost because of Kawhi you really are a dumbass. No one, not even Parker could eat your raw stats and say he did a good job dumbass. I'm not going to change your dumbass ways so I won't. Kawhi has to worry about defending his man and everyone else's man. If he wanted to just shut down one player he could but then he would have to leave parker out there to get his pushed in. He's trying to win not look out for raw stats. I'm pretty sure LMA didn't look at that series and say "dam tony good" "kawhi bad". If Pop would have benched tony for game 7 we would have won in a blow out. You're also throwing around inane straw men all over this thread. We get it, this 7 games series with a 3 pt differential for the entire series is because Kawhi didn't carry hard enough and Parker should have been our defensive answer for that offensive monster Matt Barnes who averaged 7pts the entire series and had one particularly good game. Anyone can get hot one game.
The fact of the matter is that we are one wet fart away from winning that series where you could asign the miniscule blame of missing a singular shot at some point on anyone on the court. The reality is in terms of who disappointed the most in that series though, it was far from Kawhi. Not when you have Danny bricking his way to not even making a third of threes, not when you have Parker struggling to make even the most wide open shots go in consistently, not when you have Pop sticking to hacking and killing our momentum. This series was lost in inches where any little thing the rest of the series breaking one way or the other makes it. The difference is Parker didn't show up anywhere this series except to take up space and keep Patty on the bench. You are literally weighing one small stretch against the entire rest of a razor close series.
