Another guard. Either they really don't think Russ is ready to contribute this year or they fear Kobe can't play guard anymore because he's lost to much athleticism?

Kobe should not be defending guards. Kobe still has athleticism but lacks the lateral quickness to defend either guard spot at a high level. As for our glut I dont think Swaggy stays with this team.
Russ is fine. You guys need to quit with the panic and knee jerk reactions both Laker haters (not necessarily you DPG) and fans especially the Kobe 1st crew.
Stop judging him or this team based of 2009-2010. this is a borderline lottery team (in the West) russ and any of our young guys should be given the chance to develop without the pressure of appeasing spoiled Laker fans or to give Kobe as proper playoff sendoff,. what would be the point? a first round exit? Just so people cant say Kobe failed to make the playoffs again? he has been hurt and most likely will be again ...I hope not but Lakers should not do ANYTHING based off Kobe this year. Love his heart appreciate ALL he has done for the franchise but we need to keep the eye on the future not the present or past.

im guessing the lakes should now win at least 22 games this season instead of 32.
