I hate this "teen" label they put on murderers like this as if to suggest he didn't know any better. 16 year olds are smart enough to understand there are serious consequences for murdering someone.

Defense Liarwyer said words to the effect that the sentence will both punish him and make him pay a debt to society but at the same time have a chance to reform and have a life after prison.
