Ya, I listen to a little Taylor a little bit a couple of days and I cannot say I totally disagree to be honest. The mention of Wickline is pretty dumb, but he is huge TCU fan and like most big12 non UT fans they realize they better get there barbs in now, cause I think most think Strong well get this turned around. Not s big deal really, think he gets the most feedback for talking about UT since there are so many fans...Rarely mentions ATM actually

Per Scout, walk-on WR Ty Templin has been awarded a scholarship.
OrangeBloods reporting deep snapper Kyle Ashby has also been given a scholarship.
I think Strong has already turned it around.............the wrong direction.
I really don't see any positive movement towards returning to the top 3 in the conference any time soon.
Everyone has there opinion about where the UT football program is headed but I disagree with your assessment. You state top 3 as positive movement but do you really think UT is that far behind K-state or OU? This program I believe has reached the bottom when your record indicates an average to subpar team with no future. I believe this team has very good young players and think more or on the way so therefore I believe this team well only get better each season under strong.
Will see what happens this year but think the defense takes a step backwards from 2014 and the offense stays anemic. I think OU will improve and KSU maybe down a little but both still ahead of UT.
We haven't even seen the team play with one of his full recruiting classes... let's see how this season starts out before judging.

Texas will not beat Notre Dame, but they will beat every team on their home schedule and also win at lease 2 of their road games, likely 3.
By the end of the year, I expect to see Texas become a very salty team, Baylor is not going to like playing Texas in December.
I also really like our chances against OU, Texas will have played two top 10 teams and OSU before we step foot in Dallas, Oklahoma will have only played Tennessee in that same time span. Texas will be much more battle tested for Oklahoma than the Sooners will be for Texas.
I still expect 9 wins this year possibly 10 with a bowl victory.

From an outsider's perspective, why do you think that after only one year? I'm not trying to argue, but just curious.
I can point to a few things Strong did initially that I very much disagreed with, but I can't say he's doomed.
If he manages to put up 7 or 8 wins in 2015, I'm pretty jacked up and think that's huge for things to come considering your roster is so young.
I think you're underestimating that one, but I'll eat crow if I'm wrong.

I'd be more worried about the offensive coordinator from TT now running the OU offense.
I'm not saying they're for sure winning that game, but I don't think it's laughable to say it's possible.
I can't automatically mark that one as a loss like I can with Baylor, TCU and Notre Dame.
I mean, Texas had no business being close last year and they almost won the game.
And not that it even matters, but UT was a double-digit dog to OU in 2013 and beat them convincingly.
