He is 23 years old and you are already saying this? He has accomplished a ton already for a 23 year old from Finals MVP to DPOY and will get a lot better IMO. Him not averaging 20 ppg yet is not a huge deal being he is so young and he has time to get there and will get better. You act like he is 30 year old for Gods sakes...... I like the Post above because I thought of Pippen too when reading the thread le.

DeRozan, Jefferson, Deng, Marion, Hughes and both Butlers were better on offense than KL. Not taking away from KL, but he isn't an offensive juggernaut, just a great 2 way player.

In my opinion as long as he stays healthy, he is going to be like Scottie Pippen. He will put up 17 to 18 points per game and play great defense his entire career. He needs to improve his passing and some of the intangibles though if he ever wants to truly reach scotties status.
this. a top notch second banana

Do you want him to scale it back on D to put up 20 PPG? A lot of so called great players (Coughs Melo) Play no D, to save their energy..
but really, are you really comparing him to Melo

Can't wait for the new season to prove this dumbasses.

    So many antiquated brain cells.

Kawhi averaged 20ppg in the last 25 games playing only 30 minutes.

had he played 36 like most of those stat padding goons he would averaged 23...

Is Sean Cagney the most vanilla, horrible poster on this board? His takes are so awful.

The problem is that stat-padding Kawhi, which is his natural tendency, is a net-negative on the team. We need him focusing on defense and letting the offense come to him via the system. Any time he tries to score outside of the system is bad for the team. I just hope his natural tendency for "being the man" subsides and he accepts his role as role player defensive guy who can occasionally score.

The last thing we need is Kawhi thinking he is a scorer.

Had no idea he was net negative in the last two months as the number one player. I guess what 23-2? wasn't enough...

    Talking about horrible talkes
Any time he tries to score outside of the system is bad for the team.
Really? In 2014 55% of Kawhi points in playoffs were assisted, 45% of isos/out system plays didn't prevent the Spurs from winning #5, or stop him from playing great on both ends and win FMVP.

    Of course...
