Better to not make an issue out of his private life IMO.
I am aware its a political issue, but politics is for the political forum. In terms of sports, its irrelevant.
Some do. And I can't outright blame them; sexual politics are front and center in America and society.

This explains why he never wants teams to play zone.
If you've ever seen him on Around the Horn, this shouldn't come as a surprise.
Gay or straight, he's still a face.
I was always 99% sure that Stuart Scott was gay. But then he died, so we'll never know... oh well.
He's getting married. That will be public record. It's a personal blog. He's an adult. He was coming out whether you want him to or not. It's not really attention whoring. It's basically the same as saying he's getting married which i know you ers see on twitter and face boook.
NOW AS FOR OP......you start the same thread in both here, and nba, and do i need to check the club? Attention indeed.
didn't hehave kids though? and a wife? yes he did. it took me five seconds
I could careless about his sexuality, I just know he's a crummy reporter.
and so did bruce/caitlyn jenner and about half of all other gay celebs before coming out, tbh
Colin Cowherd is next.
He's dating Jim Rome
Now that you mention it, I wouldn't be shocked if most of them were funboys.
His announcement just set the gay movement back 20 years. This tool is coming out to be the Michael Sam of broadcasting. Attention .
Not that I outright disagree with the sentiment. But once a public figure outs their sexuality it's to be an advocate. Any blow back is fair game. And while the impact is minimal or negligible from a tangible perspective, I wouldn't outright dismiss it either.
I am with you in that I'd mostly want to keep it sports. But I don't mind some overlap. At least ST is more X's and O's than the many TMZ sports out there.
This right here. Obviously.
Gutierrez's using "not wanting to explain his wedding ring" as a reason to come out is dumb.
But I think some gay celebrities come out publicly because they feel a responsibility to gay kids who are trying to figure out their place in the world. These kids often feel alienated, so to see a role model come out publicly could certainly make a difference for them.
Whether Israel Gutierrez is a suitable role model is another conversation, because after all
^^^ This, the rat looking bas hates on the Spurs at times too it seems so I could give two s.
Oh... I thought it was Mark Jackson
I had him pegged as a sexual from the first time I saw him on the air. This should not have come as a shock to anyone.
Doubt it, tbh.
Don't buy the false narrative that the media browbeats into you. Sucking another dude's johnson does not make somebody a role model.
How could anyone not know he was gay from day one? He announced this for no reason. But oh well he's cool now.
