That said, the tide also turned when quicker defender Vazquez was subs uted, giving Messi more room to operate. Tuca trying to give his club players a chance to play in the game ultimately cost them the game. Also, Chicharito was relentlessly pressuring the defenders (despite his terrible aim on goal), causing them to mess up. Carlos Vela comes in, and never once turned on the jets... trotted the whole time he was out there. SMDH.

Not taking anything away from Mexico, but Argentina played a terrible game. Especially defensively and in the midfield. Some players like Gago or Banega should be backups at most at this point, tbh

In Juventus Zidane shared the spotlight with Del Piero, in Madrid with Ronaldo and in France with Henry.
Messi is the undisputed alpha of both Barcelona and the NT team, he walks the pitch and nobody can say to him 'cause they would get the boot if they do. He could miss 100 penalties in a row and still take them. He's so alpha that when in doubt you know you have to give the Man of Match, Golden ball or WC Golden ball to him just in case.
You could have gone many routes, but bringing the "alpha" argument to try to hype Zidane up wasn't the best choice son.

Zidane is an alpha who raised his level in the final(s), Messi wasn't seen against Germany. Zidane put his mark on the game where ever he played (France, Italy, Spain) and didn't need Xavi/Iniesta holding his hand.
That's why Zidane is above Messi.

tbh Argentina not winning anything with Messi is kind of pathetic any way you put it..They basically have Brazil declining to a joke level from 2007 till now, and they still can't put stamp even in Copa America..I would excuse it if they came up short like they did in the late 1990s/early 2000s where Brazil was probably one of most stacked NT ever with triple R + bunch world class defenders/midfielders, but getting denied by the likes of Urgugauy and Chile
IMO, collectively, the current crop of players isn't as good France's 1998-2000 or Spain's 2008-2012 generation to expect a dominant stretch, but they are sure better than coming on empty at watered down continental level ..
So I went to the Mexico Argentina game and it was ing disgusting tbh. The stadium was 90% Mexican and 95% Hispanic/Latin American. I was wearing a MEssi kit with my friend and the ing be@ners started throwing beer at us when they went up 2-0. I never saw so many overweight/obese people in my life, honestly I would take one for America and go down as a martyr if a bomb went off in AT&T stadium and killed all these fat be@ners just to rid those s from this country tbh
was pretty cool to see players like chicja , missi and aguero score in person tho. The mexicants were so in butthurt when they didn't win crofl
and they were giving away ing Home Depot drills and gift cards at the game to Mexicans
Argentines were pretty chill tbh, mostly white skinned Caucasians and were relaxed. Although some left in like the 80th min and missed out
