Wouldn't he have 4 FMVP's in that scenario, with Parker and Kawhi each getting one? Still 6-6 in Finals appearances would've been nice.
I still think if Duncan gets number 6 this year he is arguably the second greatest of all time (not including guys from Bill Russell's era)
03 would've been really awesome too.
Prior to 6, I was already thinking of my posts. How much we're destined to win that win.
Parker's shot over Lebron in the final seconds, us leading 3-2, etc.
But how we bounced back in 2014 just made it sweeter.
How? By making 2013 part 1 of one of the greatest comebacks in sports history.
If we won 13, I would've been content (but still be hungry for more)
When we won 14, man, that chip was good for at least 10 years of mediocrity.
We will know what happened this summer though . That changes everything
That's actually what I'm saying. We win in '13 then last yr happens in '14 so we avenge that in '15. Seems to be the way it works with this team.
ok, then I misunderstood it ... still I think the 2014 championship is so special, I do not think I would like to trade it for two other potential championships
I can't believe some IDIOTS posted that 2014 bored them. GTFO
I think if we won in 2013, is is questionable whether we would have had the fire to do it again in 2014. Certainly possible though, since everything broke just right for us (e.g. injuries, players/team peaking, etc.)
THIS.. Game 6 would have been much more painful if we did not win in 2014. For that reason, 2014 is better!!
How winning in 2014 for making "6" less painful is better vs winning in 2013 and "6" not happening at all and big chance to add another one in 2014 or 2015???? Be ing real people!!! People here are like being pretenders and are so delusional!!!!
In my post I talked about us winning in 2012 and 2013, not 2014 yet.![]()
People saying that we were expected to win in 2014 after 2013 which made it boring are kidding themselves.
What I remember people saying after we lost in 2013 was how that was our last opportunity, that we were lucky to even be in that position, no way we go back to the finals. It was so deflating, this team won't have the energy/will to get back to the finals.
If anything, out of any year in the Duncan era to begin a season, 2014 would have been one of the most unlikely to be a champion because of what happened the year before. Too much wear and tear. We were fortunate to even be in that position in 2013. We screwed our last chance to win a championship.
Then in 2014 when we were down 2-1 against the Mavs almost everyone jumped ship. So them coming back provided an exciting moment. There were plenty of exciting moments in 2014. If you were bored by that run then i feel sorry for you.
-Winning a tough 7 game series against our texas rivals is so boring, especially after being down 2-1
-Dominating a team we seemed to always struggle against in the regular season (Blazers) is so boring
-Avenging the Thunder on their home court in game 6 in OT with a Timmy game clincher is so boring
-Seeing Spurs shoot Over 70% in the 1st half of a finals game is so boring.
-Seeing your team dominate the 2x defending champs on THEIR home floor causing their crowd to boo their team is so boring.

Its over.
Truth.
lol people pretending!!! But it's okay, for some is hard enough to admit what heaven we missed and what pain we would have save if 5 had happened when it sould instead of "6"...
Weren't you going to kill yourself awhile ago? Go do it already pussy.
2014 is still hard for me to fully comprehend because it is so storybook. It will go down in the annals of sports as the greatest redemption story of all time. It's not the same story with the win the year before. Yes it was a heartbreaker and then came the Spurs.
Determination!![]()
Media and the Spurs themselves like to say that the 13 loss inspired them to work that much harder and win 14. But they're a pretty motivated bunch. They may still have got their back to back finally.
It's about to happen all over again dingleberry.
Green was going to get the 2013 FMVP. I didnt believe it until I saw the voters actually gave Iguadola his, so it confirmed for me at least that Green would have actually ended up with it in the 2013 finals.
