Malik has a big mouth. It's gonna get him in trouble pretty soon if they don't tell him to shut up

I mean he's been talking about the coaching staff. I know he's the future, but a coach can't let a freshman get away with that. Imo.

The coach he's discussing is persona non grata. He has been castrated. He has single-handedly ed up the offense to the point where he held a talented player back. He is disliked immensely and will not be with the team next year. I seriously doubt Charlie gives a . Any other coach and you would be right, but Watson can suck a . IMO.

That's the problem. Watson's going to Mack Brown it this year and get stacks. They're probably going to have to hire replacements for him and Wickline.

Can't say I am surprised. Through 2 games, UT's best player has 17 rushes for 57 yards. He needs to have a 200+ yard 3 td game in my opinion for UT to beat Cal.

24/7 and their take on the Patterson situation:

According to a high-ranking Texas official, UT president Greg Fenves is considering firing Texas athletic director Steve Patterson. The story was first reported by Chip Brown this morning, but Horns247 can confirm its validity.

"I am not sure Patterson makes it through the season," a source texted Horns247. "Lots of pressure on the new president to cut his losses."

But there is a catch, a sizable one.

"What most people do not know is that he (Patterson) negotiated a 6-year guarantee deal. It would cost over $6 million to can him."

Fenves is, in many ways, a typical university administrator. He wants things to run smoothly. That's not something Patterson has done to date, and it could cost Patterson his job.

According to the high-ranking source: "I would not can him (Patterson) personally. I would force changes."

Time will tell which way Fenves chooses to go.

I'm also told system chancellor Admiral William McRaven would support Fenves' decision to cut ties or stick with Patterson, but the situation is ultimately up to Fenves. McRaven is acutely aware of the situation.
