Don't get confused with abiogenesis and evolution. Abiogenesis is how life eventuated on earth. Evolution is when there is life on earth, what becomes of it. The first life on earth came around 3.8 billion years ago. it wasn't fish. It was bacteria. sapiens have only been around for 200 thousand years.
