Hey, it's your conspiracy theory -- I'm just pointing out how it has to work.
Why are you getting so angry about all this? Tough day at school?
What was your point of saying "too late."
And CROFL at your accusing anyone else of snark.
Hey, it's your conspiracy theory -- I'm just pointing out how it has to work.

Is that how people are portraying it? As a devious plot to destroy America? Lol
Keep sputtering Cuckvid
That was pretty clear. Did you not understand it somehow?
What new information is supposed to be changing my mind here?
A Bill Maher video?
The whole thing reeks of shenanigans, and has for several days now. Political opportunism sure does make people look stupid.
Photo of his clock
Video showing the clock has not "built"
Ahmed's own behavior
Yes, the Bill Maher video (especially Mark Cuban part about sister giving him answers)
Activist family
Sister was also suspended for bomb threat that she denies
So which devious sister are you saying was suspended?
eh, you're laughing at my personal life and I'm laughing at your lousy CSI skills. Different strokes i guess
Give us a status update then.
The fact that his family is capitalizing on the situation doesn't prove that the incident was a set up from the beginning. They're taking advantage of a situation not unlike hundreds and hundreds of people before them on both sides of the political spectrum, and as long as you guys keep them in the news cycle by endlessly dissecting the engineering merits of his little clock, the more they gain.
So her suspension five or six years ago means he's lying now?
These diabolical teens have been planning this for years!
Jesus, Darrin -- you're cracking me up.
Strange that it happened to both of them from one family. Does this happen to most Muslim families in Irving? I'm sure most Muslim fathers in Irving debate Koran-burning preachers and run for president of Sudan, too. The father is a major attention and it appears that sweet Ahmed is enjoying his 15 minutes.
Essentially, people are treating the initial story like gospel and acting like any following information has to be scrutinized. It came out that the kid himself thought the clocked looked su ious and that he repeatedly took it out in class despite being told by multiple authority figures to keep it put up and then wouldn't explain why he kept doing that even when it wasn't appropriate. That doesn't justify the police interrogating him without his parents or a lawyer, just to make sure Chump sees that I have said this once again. But it cuts off the "Innoence Genius" label the kid got. At best, he's a kid who was overly excited about his work and couldn't respect boundaries enough to stop bragging about it. At worst, he's a subversive asshole who was deliberately playing off racial bias for kicks. Though, I guess the worst would also include goading the government into making a mistake and profiting, though that seems a little far-fetched.
Succinctly: Police=In the wrong; Kid=Poor martyr for social justice.
I don't know, Darrin -- do you?
You're certainly giving them all more than your share of attention.I'm sure most Muslim fathers in Irving debate Koran-burning preachers and run for president of Sudan, too. The father is a major attention and it appears that sweet Ahmed is enjoying his 15 minutes.
Those kids planned this for years!

School officials and cops lost their .
They shouldn't have.
That's pretty succinct.
You're right. I know if I were wrongfully arrested and/or beaten by the police, I'd be suing their asses off. It's just good business, and if the kid is 100-percent in the right, it's important to expose discrimination when it occurs.
It is succinct. I'll give you that. School should have just taken the thing away and told him he could have it back when he left for the day. Police interrogated him illegally. None of that prevents the kid from not being innocent, though.
Nothing proves him to be guilty of anything either.
Every argument here is based on su ion and innuendo. Whether those are rooted in Islamophobia is up for debate, but people are sure digging for every possible angle to make it a conspiracy.
Islamophobia? So people aren't allowed to question some obviously su ious aspects of this case without being bigots?
I said it's up for debate. I'm impressed at how dogged detectives like Darrin are in pursuing this case, for example. If he can be su ious of their motives, why can't others be su ious of his?
