Thinking about it a little bit more, World Peace does have leadership qualites which you want for your team. Also, he can be a mentor should he choose to do so, since he is considered a defensive guru. Not a bad signing in retrospect, especially if you can get 5-10 points per game and some rebounds. Not expecting much at all from Manu this year tbh hopefully he can still run the second team.
In all seriousness though, this is not a bad deal. Metta is not signed for meaningful minutes anyway. He was brought in to mentor Randle.
