what? a righwingnut thinking it's govt's job to create jobs (and wealth)??

Don't you losers say ONLY private enterprise, and tax-avoiding/evading "job creators", create jobs and wealth?

the burden of proof is on you. If you are making the assertion that the current administration is doing a good job at creating jobs, you have to prove your case.

I have a friend who's family owns cherry orchards if you would like to do some more picking.
Please do provide the counter argument. Cherry pick all you want. Let's see some numbers.

retired people are considered part of participating laborers?
Old people are dropping out of the labor force effectively lowering the participation rate.

Probably absurdly easy to take the chart apart but Fabbs couldn't be bothered to link the source.

it's a rate, a %age, not number. people retire, they reduce the total number of the labor force. and many boomers were screwed through their prime earning years, the pas 35+ years, by stagnate income and high health insurance, health costs, so Ms they are working well past retirement age.

    From the article you posted...

Part of that drop was in response to the economic crisis that started in 2008, and part of the drop comes from demographic factors like the aging of the US population and the retirement of the baby boomers.

how can a retired person be considered part of the labor force for the labor participation rate? they are voluntarily OUT of the labor force.

How many drone strikes have happened under Obama? Is Gitmo closed? Is the Patriot Act still in effect?

A whole lot of bad guys taken out.

    No it's still open.

Yes they still cheat. Are getting fattened up at 9-1 for another playoff loss.
