My brain gets in the way - always good value out there. I think for me is just picking a lineup consistently with small adjustments. Sure, in one week, having 3 top flight WR may bust you (which sucks bc you spent your money there), but over the course of a season? If you can fit really good players into your lineup over the long haul it should work out.

But it's such a variable thing with it being weekly.

What were your winnings? WHat was the buy-in?
Didn't win much as I start the season only playing $5-10 games until I build up the bankroll. Up $350 so far. Best finish was 150th out of 60,000 for 200 bucks. Could have hit it much bigger but Carlos Hyde and Justin Forsett the bed.

I really just play $1-$5 tournaments. Have probably lost money, but not much. I know it's not the way to really try and win money long-term, but it's more fun.

I like my lineups this week (says every person ever).

I'm thinking about doing 50 $1 lineups this week and see what happens, maybe hit one big.

Harlem how has it been spending money on a defense?

I always cheap out on them and get one of the bottom dwellers. Have you found it worth the money to get a top D?

The difference in a defense you like vs a cheap one is normally minimal ($300-500). I always pick the defense I love the most that week, then work backwards if it means the difference in someone like Gronk or a lesser TE for example.

I don't usually spend up on a defense because I value players more at the expense of the D..if I can make room for a better player, I'll take it instead of the defense, since there's a lot of variance with defense (lucky fumbles, blocked punts, returns, etc, even the worst defense could get one of those)

In cash games, your opponent's ownage percentage is mostly meaningless, so an expensive play like Seattle makes sense this week..for tournaments, I probably won't even consider them, since I'm expecting that they are going to be owned at an astronomical rate in every tournament..

I agree with your strategy on defenses to an extent..I don't get bottom dwellers, but I usually go middle of the pack, especially if that defense is playing against a ty QB(like the Falcons this week, risky play, but could be rewarding)..

Benjamin has been on one of the luckiest streaks youll ever see, tbh..I wouldn't start him anywhere, but maybe the luck will continue..can't believe he helped make a couple of millionaires with barely any targets...

I slapped him in couple fan duels to see if the luck continues but I'm sure he'll be a dud.

I would swap Ivory in but he's still qustionable to play. That Browns D gave up 28 points to Ivory first week so I'm hoping Murray can do the same. Maclin has been complete ass this year.

In my two fantasy leagues two dumb s picked him up off waivers and I was able to nab their dropped Decker and Dez Bryant

    Outside of AB I don't have a reliable WR2

    I'm going for the HR

Yup, but it wasn't because of the defense. Basically, pick the defense you like best then work backwards was my suggestion

In 2 of the 3 $2 tournaments I played last week, I had DEN defense for example. I cashed out both of those. It's not because of Denver defense but it helped and didn't cost me any player I really liked to get them. If it would have, I would have gone elsewhere.

I concur. I look for the cheapo D that's going against a mediocre offense.
