he will benefit from Aldridge's presence ... TD might have do more defensive work guarding centers, but on offense Timmy will get easier points than the last few seasons ...

Looks like he's in great shape coming into the season, same with Manu, tbh..can't remember the last time Ginobili looked that good from a physique standpoint, he usually plays his way into shape..

Tim did look great and was just feasting being the alternate big man on the floor. LMA takes up a lot of attention, but it is funny when they let Timmy slip in an get a put back.

TD's elite performance is more or less granted "night in, night out". TOP-5 ever and still rocking at 39 y/o. The one I'm hoping we get THAT type of performance all season long is from Manu Ginobili.

Awesome duo. I'm predicting TD will get his all time high in assists per game this year (3.9 in his 2003 MVP Campaign) With LMA around, West, Kawhi, dead eye danny and everyone else. I see Tim getting upwards of 4apg this year. Depending on minutes per game I suppose. But there's just sooo much firepower all around him and he is a fantastic, smart and willing passer.

could their roles be reverse with lma passing it down low to td or pulling up for the midrange
Don't see why not. If Duncan gets doubled down low he can always kick it back Aldridge for the midrange shot or look to exploit the corner 3.

Duncan is an upgrade over splitter at the C spot...
Aldridge is an upgrade over Duncan at the PF spot... And Only cuz of LaMarcus's range at this point.

Duncan and Lma fed off each other amazingly well last night. The 1st team offense looked a lot better than it was against the Kings. The ball movement was crisp and Lma's shots came within the offense rather than just ISO.

Assists per minute should reach/exceed all time levels yes.

Great passing can be contagious. I think LMA's going to find satisfaction from getting the assists and embrace the good to great mentality.

Two 6'11" guys with really long arms... that's a lot of easy baskets!

The offense could end up being being more fun to watch than the 2012 team(my favorite)

We might not see a single TD 4-Down sequence the whole regular season all layups and near basket flushes, the occasional banker and the wide wide open J..

disagree, Lamarcus is still relatively young but Pop isn't playing him 40 mpg and LMA knew that coming in his nominal per-game stats were going to deteriorate here tbh. My best guess is that Aldridge gets the prime Duncan rotation role of coming out of the 1st and 3rd quarters at the second official timeout in the first/third quarter (under 3 minutes) and then coming back after the first official timeout in the second/fourth quarter (under 9 minutes) and playing out the half/game. Duncan will now be the first big to go to the bench (likely for West or Diaw depending on matchups), and will come back in for Aldridge, come back out for Aldridge and will come back in after the second official timeout in the second/fourth quarter (under 6 minutes) to close the half/game (barring blowouts).

All season long? No, he'll sit out a game here and there.
