Police said Johnson told dispatchers that there was a man on the ground with a sword in his head.















If one is going one is going to use a sword to randomly kill a jogger, the obvious method involves stabbing one's victim in the head. Apparently just hacking away, or merely chopping the head off, is not suitable.

This is good news for us, if things go as they should. We will be riding with momentum into the off season. Fingers crossed that we don't get smashed by Baylor and the bowl game though.

We are still a long way away from even qualifying for a bowl game. I'm just hoping we beat KSU, Tech and WVU. With 4 losses we pretty much have to sweep them.

Four people were murdered by the Lake!?!?! WTF!!! I am not familiar with the area, is this like a super freaking scary part of town or something?

Three women were found dead in Dallas on Monday in two separate homicides not far from White Rock Lake, police say.
The first victim, 18-year-old Zoe Hastings, was found about 8:30 a.m. in a creek northeast of the lake. Police had released few details about the other two victims, who were found fatally shot about 4:30 p.m. in Far East Dallas.
Hastings left her home Sunday evening in a white 2007 Honda Odyssey to go to a nearby Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
The recent graduate of the Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts was found dead in the minivan after someone reported seeing the vehicle in the creek near Easton Road and East Lake Highlands Drive. She was only minutes from her home and near her church.
Deputy Chief Rob Sherwin said Hastings died of “obvious homicidal violence.” He declined to provide details because he did not want to compromise the investigation.
But police have said her death wasn’t related to the brutal slaying of a jogger along White Rock Creek Trail. Former Texas A&M football player Thomas Johnson, 21, has been arrested in that homicide, which occurred about 8 a.m.

Officers found the two other slain women after responding about 4:30 p.m. to a disturbance at a home in the 2700 block of Millmar Drive in Far East Dallas.

Police confirmed Tuesday that the women were mother and daughter but were withholding their iden ies until relatives are notified.
The suspect was still at large Tuesday, but police said he's the grandson of a man with whom the women lived. The man told police that after he had asked the women to leave, his grandson became involved in the "domestic dispute" and shot the women dead before fleeing.

Every program has ty fans (not saying Djohn is a ty fan), but no program is on such a big stage even when they are down. Being the head coach at Texas is a tough gig, I would liken it to being the coach of the Cowboys, or the coach of the LA Lakers. It seems like every move is under a microscope by both fans and the media.

If Charlie wants out at Texas it won't be for more money or a higher prestige job, it's going to be because ultimately he just couldn't handle the job.

With that said, I have a hard time believing a coach who just won a game where his players came up to him and told him they won that game for him, would walk out on said players. If he did, it would be the ultimate slap in the face to the relationship he has built with them.

That is not Charlie Strong.

Im not into cliff jumping fans when things go south. And then claim they saw the signs long ago. Mack Brown did not become grandad soft coach in one season. People rush and make decisions way too quickly imo.

I can see why as Brown went sour well before he stepped down. But Putting a finger on exactly which season Brown needed to go is useless using hindsight. It does not help us rectify our problems now.

He told 247 that he'll take official visits to Notre Dame, Ohio State and Oklahoma and he thinks both Texas and Ole Miss are close to offering, and those two are in the mix for his last two officials.

“I just don’t like it (the recruiting process),” he said. “The attention is not for me.”

“I don’t really want to go into depth about any one school, but I really like that they (Texas) run the football,” Porter said. “I could see myself fitting in. I saw a little bit of the Oklahoma game before the game, and they played well. I liked what I saw.”

“I know that Coach (Charlie) Strong is a new coach,” Porter said. “He’s building it back up, and I think he’ll eventually get it turned around. I talk to them often. I like Coach Strong and Coach (Chris) Vaughn a lot. They are great coaches.”
