The above is a Western plot to undermine Putin. The blogger is a Russian educated in the US and not a part of RT news. She is a traitor to her country and leader for writing such things. And she better watch her back or she will end up like Putin's viable political opponents, dead.

A military official quoted by Syria’s state-run SANA media outlet said Saturday that two F-16s from the U.S.-led coalition violated Syrian airspace and targeted civilian infrastructure in Aleppo. The unnamed official said the strikes destroyed two power plants in the Radwaniyah area east of Aleppo city, causing a blackout.

    http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/w...ikes/73725180/

This bizarre story was initially carried in USA Today and by SANA in Damascus. 10AM Saturday morning, Damascus time, two US built F 16 aircraft crossed the Turkish border into Syria at low al ude. Their bomb loads were dropped on power plants east of Aleppo with collateral damage in a nearby neighborhoods killing up to 5 and injuring as many as a dozen more.

The aircraft flew from Incirlik Air Force Base, home to America’s 10th Air Wing. This is the first coalition attack officially directed against civilian infrastructure targets. The US bombing campaign which began in 2014, has “accidentally” destroyed a number of key Syrian infrastructure projects including water purification and power facilities.

As with the recent bombing in Afghanistan that destroyed a Doctors Without Borders hospital there, American officials are giving out no information on the pilots who flew the aircraft or what unannounced policy change by the Obama government would allow what is a dangerous provocation.

Please, please. This makes too much sense and it's not exciting. Hater wants ISIS beard cutting and cross dressing. The above is way too mundane and just not sensational enough.

All things taken into account, therefore, Washington must be exceptionally dumb-witted not to comprehend that Putin really means what he says – namely, that the Russian military operations in Syria are intended to shepherd the protagonists (excluding the IS and other extremist groups) – to the conference table.

The above will not cut it for the Hater/m>s excitement alliance. We need Chechens and China entering the conflict for a " s about to get real moment". We need day of the rope stuff, fiction. Please.

Any news on China pounding something, anything, with its warships? Let's get this real.

Jihadi John top of Putin's hit list: Russia makes hunting brutal ISIS killer a priority

President Vladimir Putin is racing against the UK and the US to hunt down the vile murderer, who is responsible for the brutal beheadings of Americans and Britons in taunting videos.

Capturing the 27-year-old, whose real name is Mohammed Emwazi, has become the Kremlin boss's main priority as it would be a huge propaganda coup.

Russian interest will put mounting pressure on Prime Minister David Cameron's, who bid to track down the sick jihadist 'dead or alive".

And this alliance could aid Moscow in beating their Western rivals to capturing Jihadi John, who brutally beheaded British aid workers Alan Henning and David Haines in vile propaganda videos.

A US security source said: "Because the Russians have been invited into Syria by the regime it is easier for them to carry out special forces snatch or kill operations.

holy if Russia takes down Jihadi John. Holy UK USA

that would be as huge a Russian win as the launch of the original Sputnik tbh.

I'm pretty sure CIA and MI6 are offering John protection and an entrance into their Fast Track CIA Spy Programme

Russian Jamming System Blocks All NATO Electronics Inside Bubble 600 Km in Diameter over Syria

New Russian Jamming System Near Latakia Blocks All NATO Electronics Inside Bubble 600 Km in Diameter; Radar, Satellites, Communications All Disrupted; System Shifts Military Balance in Favor of Russia

The Mi8-MTPR1-based Richag-AV platform, using multi-beam antenna arrays with DRFM technology, is designed to actively jam and thus ‘blind’ radar systems in order to defend against radio-electronic guided weapons systems. In a combat situation, the system would operate as part of an aviation shock attack group aimed at breaking through virtually any defense system, blinding everything up to and including the US MIM-104 ‘Patriot’ anti-aircraft missile system.

In addition, the Russian military had provided a demonstration of their ability to blind even the sophisticated Aegis phased array radar, which is part of the equipment of modern US cruisers and destroyers. This incident came during the Crimean crisis of spring 2014, when the US sent a destroyer into the Black Sea. This ship was repeatedly buzzed up by a Russian Sukhoi-24 jet fighter, which was able to cripple the radar guidance the systems of the vessel.

“The US destroyer USS Donald Cook, equipped with Tomahawk cruise missiles entered the neutral waters of the Black Sea on April 10, 2014. The purpose was a demonstration of force and intimidation in connection with the position of Russia in Ukraine and Crimea. The appearance of American warships in these waters is in contradiction of the Montreux Convention about the nature and duration of stay in the Black Sea by the military ships of countries not washed by this sea. In response, Russia sent an unarmed bomber Su- 24 to fly around the U.S. destroyer. However, experts say that this plane was equipped with the latest Russian electronic warfare complex. According to this version, Aegis spotted from afar the approaching aircraft, and sounded alarm. Everything went normally, and the American radars calculated the speed of the approaching target. But suddenly all the screens went blank. Aegis was not working any more, and the rockets could not get target information. Meanwhile, Su-24 flew over the deck of the destroyer, did battle turn and simulated a missile attack on the target. Then it turned and repeated the maneuver. And did so 12 times.

    damn

After the incident, the foreign media reported that “Donald Cook” was rushed into a port in Romania. There all the 27 members of the crew filed a letter of resignation. It seems that all 27 people have written that they are not going to risk their lives. This is indirectly confirmed by the Pentagon statement according to which the action demoralized the crew of the American ship.

I've Already been through this discussion with another forum troll. I went through Cyprus. It didn't cost me anything, I was compensated. I ate whatever rations the Syrian army gave me. And yes I did see combat.

NPR had a panel and the guest chick sounded very reasonaable.
She said all the U.S. and related bad ink about Assad being a bogey man is purely made up.

She said he was inclusive of all different types of backgrounds.

    Thoughts?

Related (or not). Oil and gas guy i know says the biggest ji-huge nat gas and oil field runs thru Syria all the way down to Israel.

sure. Syria was similar to Europe before the war. Beautiful land.

it's all a moot point at the moment. Russia has a de facto no fly zone in Syria so it's up to them to succeed or up. So far it seems they are succeeding. There is really nothing the West, or Israel can do about it.

The UN head investigator concluded that gas was used but it was most likely the rebels.

So yes it was another bull story.

Not really. The junior-high "lol" might even have some sting, if you could actually talk about it meaningfully, when asked. My 12 year-old does better, when I force him to think.

I don't let him be lazy, and challenge him. I can't tell if your problem is lazy, like m>s, or inability, like mouse. You seem to read a fair amount, so I will simply assume the latter.

A bit more on that, including Syria, with some rather candid remarks from US generals:
    http://foreignpolicy.com/2015/10/21/...lectronic-war/

We have let our EW capabilities wane a bit, as we have focused on asymmetric warfare, where superiority is assumed.

Another good read from a defense standpoint about our carrier strategy:
    http://www.businessinsider.com/the-f...s-navy-2015-10

The graphic about the ranges of the planes currently compared to that of the past was rather eye-opening.

Personally, it seems almost time to phase out the carriers, given the advances in smart weaponry, or at least mix them with the newer zumwalt destroyers.
