Again, we lost 1.4 3pointers a game in Marco. We got back a healthy Patty. And added Anderson. Where's the big drop off?
Anderson is not in the same conversation with Beli and shooting.

Time for some cuts, and solidify the rotation, tbh

Ask Pop, I'm quoting him.
Anderson was awesome with the -19
Patty/Butler didn't play & Danny barely played. That's basically the top 3 shooters on the team.
When Jimmer gets cut, someone should post that gif of Kawhi taunting him at college.
He couldn't do any worse that most anyone out there tonight that is for sure.
Right now they are playing like they took paycuts..
Reggie plays w/ an irrational confidence Simmons meanwhile sulks when he makes a mistake.
Anderson is just as bad defensively and nowhere near the shooter Beli was. Zero point guard depth and slim pickens at SF after Kawhi.
Agree. An athletic fast gunning team in OKC is waiting to welcome us to the season. We can't be dilly-dallying with the end of the bench guys.
Ka is not just as bad on Defense than Beli, that's a reach. Anderson actually gets blocks. they both have slow feet but KA makes up for it with length.
That's really what it is. From the interviews and articles I read about him after the summer league, the dude seemed pretty fragile. It's possible that Pop's effusive praise of him during training camp was because he wanted to build Simmons' confidence. It's not a doubly bad thing for Simmons to have confidence issues, because he's GOING to make mistakes playing the way he does. He needs to have a short memory like Manu does. I think he lacks some critical skills to be a real NBA player, but if he could even fix his mindset, he'd at least be able to have some good moments.
Um, most, if not all the guys who played are making the team.
Marbury will welcome him with open arms in China, tbh.
But we all watched it.
have to say I am getting nervous about that opener in OKC. Thunder looking strong...
Eh, that only means so much. People have to understand that Pop doesn't tend to give real team analysis in interviews. If Pop had cared about shooting so much, he would have lobbied for a decent shooter to come into camp instead of picking up detritus like Butler and Jimmer. Or he would have signed Eddie, who was the top d-league shooter last season.
Time to blow it up?
There are going to be some growing pains for a couple of weeks so I won't be surprised if they get smashed by an OKC team playing w/ a chip on their shoulders.
