I like LA to win 30-35 and Minny to win 35-43, such a wide range for Minny because they are so young and obviously health issues. .
I think Minny has alot of good pieces. Between Wiggins, Towns, Lavine, and Dieng they have some great young talent.
A few proven vets, not stars by any means, but decent players in Martin, Rubio, and Pekovic. Then I like guys like Payne and Muhammed could step up and be decent role players off the bench.

Minny got good players but they need development. I think Minny will likely get a better record than the lakers in 2 years or so but right now? I think they suck. That said, the lakers are in the general vicinity of them, and I can't realistically see the two worst teams in the west will both have over 30 wins. I'd say both teams will win in the mid to high 20s

It's funny last year we were arguing the opposite as he was trying to pin the Lakers won loss record on Kobe and said we had 35-40 win talent ... when anyone could see that team was trash. So wait, last year I said the lakers were good enough to win 35 games. This year, they lost Lin, boozer, Davis and replaced them with rookies and you said they are 32 win team, i said they are bad, maybe mid to high twenties (pretty close assessment) and you are saying I'm not willing to take a bet that they will have more wins than the wolves? What kind of crap logic is that?
First off, my assessment of them last year and this is similar 35 vs 28 or so wins with essentially comparable players, so I'm actually on track.
Second, you had them at 32 which is somewhere between what I had them last year and his year with mostly lateral moves of the roster. So I don't get why my predictions Are such sins against nature.
Third, I never said the wolves had a great roster or coaching or anything, I just said they have a future. So I don't know what we are supposed to be betting.
Another horrible jump in logic. Just because the lakers are bad and the Spurs are clearly better doesn't mean that the Spurs will sweep. These are pro teams and things happen, especially on a game to game basis. That's why they play seven game series to determine the better team instead of one offs.
I can see the lakers will be one of the bottom four teams in the west (people are really over estimating the Blazers right now, they have potential to be the worst in the west) and Phoenix can end up being pretty bad if a few things fall apart for them. Wolves and lakers are terrible now.
Besides, I don't bet. I am a mathematician and unless I have great odds at winning then it is not worth it to bet, especially in one offs because of randomness of future events. Betting without full on odds isn't chicken, it's just the smart thing to do.
