Looks good.
OK, I don't remember the shakiness and quick blur until BSG.
Looks good.
But star trek had the first interracial kiss on screen...
Matt Damon looking smh
I can't believe it's been this long since it was first announced.
Speaking of Star Wars
This review is better than the movie itself.
I actually sat here right now and saw that. Gave me something productive to do at work.
soccer ball robot's kinda growing on me tbqh
I watched all 1:46 of that clip
He is funny but makes some great points
- Major plot holes (script rushed). Characters are REALLY REALLY naive
- Poor tone (scenes jumping from action to comedy)
- Lucas turned into a lazy Director (sitting in chair watching Camera 1 and Camera 2)
- Obviously way too much CGI. The fights are so mass and random (which side is which) that the viewer starts to zone out
- Either massive random fight scenes or two characters sitting on couch conversing
But the 2 more interesting arguments
- The War failed to have an affect on the main city. The characters lack urgency, flying cars fill the sky, there is a ballroom party and in general no ones life seems much affected by the War. He argues Lucas should have made the city deteriorate over the 3 film series. Film 1: normal - Film 2: less flying cars - Film 3: no flying cars, buildings are now deteriorating and there are people standing in food lines. So overall you don't get the sense that this enormous and important War to end all Wars is all that critical.
- Vader was too much of a focus. In 'The New Hope' Vader is just a robotic soldier. He does the dirty work, he is even ridiculed by the human Officers (that he chokes). Remember he almost perishes in the fighter plane. But in the new 3 les he is treated as some sort of Jesus. Lucas should have made Episode III with Anakin as a piece of a bigger puzzle (the War) OR centering it around him is fine but Lucas should have actually built up Anakin's character. All we really know of him is he has anger problems. We didn't see any Jedi training compared to Luke in Empire Strikes Back. Luke was asking questions, we were learning along with him. None of that here just empty statements "You owe me for saving your life for the 10th time".
After watching this breakdown, whoa the films were far worse than I remember. My memory was mostly random meaningless giant fight scenes that made my eyes gloss over after 5 minutes and really lethargic character scenes.
1:26 onwards.the black movement had begun in ing 1980
Motherfuxking Yess!
Pretty good looking trailer but the hype is ing laughable. There's literally no reason to be this excited. JewJew Abrams is as average as can be and there's only been 2 great Star Wars anyway (Return was ing average). Plus that new droid is the most blatant merch advertisement ever put to film. Even the ewoks weren't this shameless. For 's sake they even gave it the most re ed, cutesy name possible. BB-8? Could it sound more Nickelodeon?
Get used to it. There're going to release a minimum of one of these a year until the end of time.
Never got into Star Wars. Seems so lame.
Gotta admit, I got a semi hard on when I saw that trailer.
Nostalgia is strong with that trailer.
That's what got me the most. Felt like I was 12 again tbh.
But guys -- there's a black man in the cast!
When the soft music comes in, the kind that's played in Empire if I recall, I did kinda enjoy it.
Might just be the fact that he looks subhuman. Most of us "racists" don't give a about his skin color but rather that he's ugly as sin. I have no reason to lie about this so spare me. If I had a problem with the black part I'd say it.
sick trailer. but did they really have to pick the nerdiest black guy ever?
No reason to soft pedal your racism here, dude. You're safe behind your keyboard.
It's supposed to take place many light-years away and in the distant past, so no.
Watching literally the first seconds of the first movie tells you this.
