Good call by the spurs. Thanks for posting.
Give him time and KA will become a real nice player for us.

Anyone ever watched this dude on phantom cam?
Gears to slow-mo!!
Slow-mo's career is now on the fast-track!![]()
Nice...excited to see him become part of the regular rotation.
drafted 30th, and again looks to be a solid contributor for years on a championship team
He has the potential to be a real asset to the Spurs. His improvement has been enjoyable to see.
KA has an amazing feel for the game. Congrats!
What a steaming dog take. You do know they just extended his rookie contract, right? So no, it's not a "make or busts" season for him.
Spurs just guarantee next year and someone proceeds to say this is a make or break season for him. The logic.
ceperez had a similar take a few months ago. Anderson is seeing the rest of his rookie deal with the Spurs. In fact, he's probably a Spurs for the next seven years if he's not traded.
Time to start reviewing the performances of other rookies who got drafted earlier?
I really don't think that Anderson's game will translate well with other teams. He's not athletic, but this length and smarts is going to help him improve. As a matter of fact, the fact that Anderson knows that his is *not* athletic is motivation enough to have in work a lot more on his game. A lot of athletic guys never improve because they never realize the need to work on their skills.
I agree. The CBA makes it easier to retain guys you already have and like, than going out and getting someone else for equivalent money (a risky proposition bc said guy may not fit as well, or may not agree to join your team after all the pursuit).
The only way I see Kyle getting traded is in a kind of G.Hill scenario if he bursts onto the scene this season or the next and generates interest from other teams who need a playmaking SF and who believe he can start in this league. But if Kyle reaches that point, to play that well, will the Spurs want to trade him, when Manu might be retired and you need a guy in the bench to carry your offense, and to give the team different looks when he checks into the game? Anderson, this early in his career has shown he can change the dynamic of the team with his passing, perimeter game, and his PG skills for his size and his length. The fact he play some at the 4, signals maybe a dynamic where Pop envisions him, Kawhi and LMA playing together for some stretches.
It just seems that the Spurs envision Kyle as a part of their future.
