I'm sure KD was watching too... not sure if it's a positive or negative for San Anton... :\

kid is legit. had his worse game since his rookie year and still got 18 and 8 iirc. The Duncan talk should cease. he is more of a KG 2.0. i think he will better on offense than KG not as good on defense but close if he maxes his potential. doubt he will be ever as good as Tim on the block or as a paint "anchor" but he probably already is a better shot blocker and moves his feet better defending pnr. (Prime Duncan was very good at this but not as good as prime David or KG)
Not sure why some Spur fans hate on Davis or Steph. Those guys can be great and Spurs still beat them ...
Should be fun. Durant and Russ will do there thing. I think Durant especially will be hyped to go at Kiwi. Ibaka, Adams etc are the keys. Spurs can still win if Durant and or Russ goes off they have done it before with less talent than this year's Spurs. Plus you have the coaching advantage and I like Donovan ..
I really don't see him being anywhere close to the defender KG was. He could, but before he actually shows something his comparisons should be the likes of derrick vors.. he is no way near to ibaka level, it's absolutely ridicolous that he gets those comparisons ...
I did say if he maxes his potential. he has the length and the speed. I will say this though the added bulk will help on the block it could eventually hurt his feet/speed on perimeter defense. KG has stayed slim, lithe and it absolutely helps him navigate through screens. the extra bulk makes Davis a bigger target for the screen man, so he may never may max his potential as a pnr defender but may be a better anchor on the block than KG. We will see it's all still potential and not fully realized.
I dont get why people are hating on his MVP status after one game. He is a legit candidate but he shouldn't finish in the top 3. 4th or 5th is about right based on how good he is and how mediocre the team will be (relative, west is tough)
that's why it bothers me. We are speaking of potential here, but are acting as if that potential has already been maxed out. Right now, he is a terrible rim protector and doesn't scare anybody from going to the rim. Even if he maxed out his defensive potential, he'd still be way behind Rudy Gobert. Sure he has all the tools, but let's not act like he is an mvp candidate or something, the mvp needs to come out of one of the top 4 seeds, period. He's not even in the discussion. plus, he is developing the wrong way
So we agree Raven except I think with the right guidance he could be a KG (lite) but may prove to be better offensive player though from what I can see he is not as good a passer as KG. I also think you underrate his shot blocking I have seen games where he has been every bit as good as Ibaka. But Ibaka has a limited offensive role Davis is the NOLA offense.
he has led the league twice in blocking, if I'm correct. That coupled with their advanced numbers, screams statpadder all over to me. It's not like with lee or love that you just know he is going to stay like that, but there is a problem. The guy is great and has a perfect skillset on both sides, but as of right now, he is not top 50 on D, he is not, that's just how it is. To me comparing him to KG is ridiculous, I don't see it in him.
Chuck is a good sport ...and that is a great shirt.
