So how would all you brilliant minds defend westbrook and Durant? westbrook is an alien and maybe the most gifted athlete the nba had ever seen. If his shot is falling he is unstoppable. Durant is damn near 7 ft with long arms and an automatic J. Kawhi did as good a job as you can on him. With the attention these 2 get other players will get clean looks, ing nba players will hit open shots. Not sure what the everyone is complaining about but the sky is the limit from what I saw. It's game ing one people, stop being pussies and acting like redskins fans they actually have something to complain about.

Durant was defended as well as possible, tbh..

There was no strategy against Russy, Pop didn't care in the 1st game of the season..he had Parker defending him for virtually the entire game, recipe for disaster and a bad position for TP to be put in..

The defense against Kanter in the 2nd half and Waiters down the stretch were the more egregious defensive issues, tbh..

yep ... it looks like Russ is now OKCs #1 ... the times where had trouble finishing around the rim in traffic are long gone. I guess in a playoff game Green/Leonard would guard Durant/Westbrook ... but it still leaves Parker having to guard somebody else.

I'll give you that there was a rebounding problem with West and Diaw as the only bigs. waiters is just a lucky .

Ya, Waiters is obviously a trash player and I'll live with him taking clutch shots rather than Westbrook/Durant, I was just pointing out the problem from last night's game in a box..

Kanter's production is easily sustainable, though..

Disagree on Kanter. He's not a 15+ rpg player. That was purely a product of the matchup he was presented.

It's all fixable though. From what I saw I can't wait till they're together a couple months. Seemed so easy for the bigs to get easy shots, I could seem them going on an early run as the schedule is pretty soft to start the season.

I remember Enrique used to def Westchuck quite well in 2011 and 2012

100 times out of 100, I would do what Pop did last night: lock up Durant with KL2, and let RW try to beat you. He'll melt down or it up most of the time.

u don't put parker on one of the top players in the league and then hope they miss. What kind of strategy is that? That's like having Kyle Arringson cover Calvin Johnson single coverage and hoping he drops passes.

Green was on him when it mattered.

ST is full of clowns tbh

Daring Waiters to shoot was obviously the good choice, when you get to have scrub Dion take 8 shots during a game, you did something right especially with Kanter 11 shots. That's almost 20 shots taken by two scrubs, you prefer that rather than KD / RW.

The only dude capable to stop Russel is Russel... So Spurs played the right game, you make KD work hard to get his shoot, you try to get scrubs taking the most shoots possible (if they lit up you live with the results) and you try to make Russel take as much as bad shots possible... when he scores with his jumper and keeps his mind cold, you watch and say good game

It was more Westbrook would brick the out of everything more than it was Parker's D.

thinking a washed up Parker can guard Westbrook knowing he is probably the most difficult dude to guard in the entire NBA

There are not a single shots made by Waiters that was not contested by Parker, dude made half of them... that's life.. especially when precisely strategy is to let dat scrub shoot.

Not when like 5 of those shots were off of offensive rebounds. Kanter when he just posted up on West went like 2-6, one time almost no an airball. But allowing those easy 2nd chance points did the Spurs in the 3rd quarter. The lead should have been double digits going into the 4th.

Don't really worry about Kanter, even if the strategy is workable, he'll mail it in sooner or later...

not saying everything was perfect, okc did get some offensive rebounds and our bigs did not do a great job on the rebound side but even with a disparity of 4 O rebounds, okc shot same FG% than Spurs...

They have a history of jerkoff players getting hot against us but you live with it. Let's see what happens when they come to our place.

FakeNono is right on this one. I don't think you'll see much of a Diaw/West frontcourt against OKC when the games matter tbh.
