    some quotes:

They were very straightforward," says Aldridge. "It wasn't—and excuse my language—a circle jerk."

As the two disembarked, Aldridge finally turned to Udoka. "I'm coming," he said.

"Just the best feeling," says Udoka.

Good read. Thanks for the post.

I think LMA's usage will continue to rise as the season(s) progress, but he's never going to see Portland numbers again. Hope he's ok with that.

and people still wonder who Spurs leaders are...

Two days earlier a San Antonio contingent, headlined by Gregg Popovich, Tim Duncan and Tony Parker, had left a powerful impression on Aldridge during their first meeting.

Fodder for the anti Kiwi brigade TBH everyday casual talking isn't Leonard forte, let alone formulating an argument ..IMO,Manu, probably the most articulate Spurs player, would have reduced LMA purpoted wishy-washiness even more had he been there in the meeting..

Kawhi was a non factor in LMA's sign? Who knows...maybe Woj was right.

San Antonio's Kawhi Leonard can can sell Portland's LaMarcus Aldridge on something that Kobe Bryant and Phil Jackson and Carmelo Anthony are unable: the chance to play with basketball's best burgeoning two-way player...For all the promises of rebuilds that'll come out of the Lakers and Knicks, the Spurs' recruiting pitch promises to be far more substantive: Leonard pushing into his prime, a torturous 32 points in San Antonio 100-73 game 3 victory, a deeper understanding of the promise of potential partnerships. So few players dominate without dominating the ball. Who wouldn't want to play with Kawhi Leonard?

Still, for a team that treasures its chemistry, Aldridge comes with some risks. To Aldridge, the Spurs were unequivocal: They want you to score, but they want you to do it without disrupting the team's successful ball-sharing system. Last season Aldridge's usage rate—defined as the percentage of a team's offensive possessions a player uses while on the court—was 30%, 11th highest of any starter, per NBA.com. The top Spur: Parker (24.7%), who checked in at 51st. "He's used to getting the ball a lot," says Popovich. "So what happens if we start running isolations? Timmy is going to fall asleep on the block. Kawhi is going to lose interest. Tony is going to say, 'What about me?' Manu is going to wonder why he is even on the court. I'm exaggerating, obviously, but they all have to find a way to fit together."
    I thought this was funny.

I read that in the magazine (that got wet in my mailbox).

I saw "Then he looked at Ime and said "I'm coming""

    That's heavy.
