Boban is quickly becoming a fan favorite, his height, his scary face, the way he moves and how is he playing is awesome.
Agreed 110%

He is a fan fav. cause of his scary face....That's messed up.......not cool at all bro..
I would have liked to have seen him a few minutes against Kanter. At least Boban size would bother him more than West/Diaw...
Come on that is not the only reason, every other team would love to have his all... other teams fans must be so salty.
Ok... How about his scary ears?
Boban is a legend, was stoked when he came on
A force to be reckoned with...![]()
You are exactly right on that. Not a knock on West. He's just not a rim protector, so while Boban is still developing his game to play at this level, what he does provide is needed.
It's not just the rim protection, the rebounding as well. West and bobo get destroyed on the boards. Kanter raped them in okc, big part of the reason we lost that game.
Garbage time or not, it's not difficult to spot a guy who can play the game the right way. Bobanator is no scrub. That much is certain.
rent free
If he did it against Lopez I'd be more impressed. Still has to get used to the pace of the NBA game and secure balls rather than fumbling them. But first test was encouraging...
Boban has a 48.1 PER.
Boban for MVP!!!![]()
But it is great to have Boban destroying the opposing scrubs during crunch time and keeps the crowd entertained. I mean normally in blowouts our third unit sucks and ends up with -10 against opposing scrubs ...
Having that said ... I would love if Pop plays him against the Knicks ... its a b2b and Lopez/Porzingis might be the right fit for him to go at
Need to pick up his jersey tbh
We all know how long it takes Pop to get confidence in a big man, and we all see that Boban is not 'ready for prime time' yet.
Add to that Pop's undoubtedly strong support of the character of a guy like West having given up so much money to play on this team, and I think it is going to be hard for Boban to break into the rotation in the second squad.
Finally, Pop will always try to make sure that no player on his squad ever gets a reputation as a foul machine, and given his size and his rookie status, Boban is gonna get called for a potload of fouls every time he plays against another team's regular rotation players.
Having said all of that...it is absolutely true, imo, that the lack of height in the second squad cost us the first game and cost us the lead in the second game. Pop just has to figure this out.
I think Pop solves this by resting Tim and West a good deal pretty soon. Give Boban a chance to play in the second unit without demoting West. If Marjanovic shows he can hang, then I do think Pop will bring him in situationally. West is trying, but he's not a center. And his offense isn't good enough to compensate. But with rest for four 30-plus bigs and garbage time, Boban will get his.
From your lips to god's ears.
At center he is.
Boban will play a lot earlier than Baynes did and AB is a pretty decent NBA player. I like what BM can bring.
The DNPs for the older bigs will allow for some good chances to play in an 82 game regular season.
Let's be honest, very few NBA players will want to try and get over or through Bobbi at the rim. All he has to do is stand there with his arms up. Plus, he can actually move around pretty well for his size. He's was another smart pickup by the front office.
Would like to see some second unit run with Boban at the post, West PF, Diaw at SF, Anderson SG, and Manu as PG. Boban really alters a teams desire to drive the basket so we could crowd the shooters even if our perimeter defense would be a little slower.
Every little thing needs a thread, especially when it involves Boban
