Gotta keep up with the MVP race. A first seed, 21+ppg amd best defender in the world and he'd be in serious consideration.

It looks like Curry,Lebron, will be the favorites to win the MVP. I can't see Kawhi competing with those guys for it.

Did you hear the MVP chants last game?

Kawhi is going to have an MVP caliber Season.

Even if he doesn't win this year, all he needs to do is build his name and he's got four years to win 2 Season MVP tbh.

Lebron is out of the race.

He's got his back to worry about health wise.

Durant is my initial Pick but damn Curry looks amazing right now.

Still Leonard is going to have a legit shot if he averages 21+PPG and maintains his defensive beast reputation.

Curry is probably the favorite so far. Westbrook in the MVP race as well early on.

    Right now he's averaging 24 and 9...

if he keeps this average till game 15...and finishes with 21-23 PPG and spurs finish top the west..

    hnnnngggggggggggggg

Curry or Westbrook this year. I don't see Kawhi quite scoring enough to take it out. Hope he wins DPOY and top 5 MVP.

As long as the Spurs win, I don't care if he or Parker score 2 points, 20 points or 200 points. As long as the unit collectively has a higher score after 48 minutes of playing time, I'll be happy.

If there's any case for Westbrook, he'll win it. The media desperately wants to bestow that knighthood upon him.

I'm thinking Kawhi gonna finish with 68 points, 23 rebounds, 12 steals, 16 blocks, 0 assists.

    This.

In other notes, Westbrook will probably block Durant's aspirations at the current pace.
Harden is probably bound to start looking like an MVP too..

agree with this. important thing is the win today and not who leads them in scoring.

yep. Is it just you or does playing in the West seem like the NFL? In essence, that every game matters even early in the season?

The West is so scary and with the favorable early schedule, I would like to see the Spurs get off to a great start before the schedule gets tougher.

An endless source of entertainment is the fact that the guy who popularized the term "player fan" as an insult on spurstalk is the single biggest player fan I've ever seen.
