Didn't see the game. Was ElNono rocking his hipster beard like last time?
Not really hyping Boban, just intrigued and optimistic about him. Once he gains a little experience, I certainly hope to see him go against Kanter and tested against Mozgov and possibly even Bogut and DHoward. He might not last long, but I hope he gets tried against those guys - as well as many others...

But he'd be prone to turnovers as well, especially against the teams I've mentioned.
He's not as slow as many had feared but he's still too slow to warrant any meaningful minutes against those guys, IMO.
Totally agree. Midrange shooting may be better across the full team, but three ball is lacking. Anderson looks lost. He really needs to develop a consistent spot-up at the NBA level to stick. He did fine in the D-League last year.
How could you miss him?
But that is the untested thesis I'd like to see tested. Also can his intimidating size compensate some for his lack of quickness? Later in the season, I'd like to see.
You'd test that against contenders when HCA is so important in a loaded Western Conference?
not this time
Depends on the game cir stance, but testing doesn't have to be for a full rotation. It can mean a couple of spot minutes.
I also recognize that I do not get to see nearly as much of Boban as Pop does. I am expressing a fan's view of what I'd like to see later in the season after Boban gets some more court time.
You and your jersey were in almost every shot when the ball was on that side of the court!
nice, gonna try to get video, since the game was blacked out here...
Yeah, well, I'll say this: better Boban get those minutes than Bonner, who is doing his best ever work as a Spur player right now, tbh.
I have been rooting for our young guys, Anderson, McCallum and Simmons, from day one, and now I am rooting for Butler since all of our young guys seem to be stumbling out of the gate. But even with those guys stumbling, Bonner was in civvies tonight. I think (hope?) that Bonner will not be around for the playoffs. If PATFO is really all-in for this season, I think we will have to make a move for an athletic SF rotation player. That makes Bonner (among others) expendable.
Of all our additions not named Aldridge, Boban alone has really exceeded expectations. Perhaps that explains my optimism for the guy.
Did you end up chatting up Manu or anyone else for that matter?
No. Gonna have to wait till Philly. What sucks about the Garden and I had no idea is that while the bench is on one side, the locker rooms are the other side. So the Spurs basically warmed up on the opposite side of the court, went in and out on the other side, and so I didn't manage to get to chat anybody... only part that sucked, tbh...
The guys I did see up close were Larry Johnson and John Starks
They were there at the bar while we were waiting, and I had no clue it was them. The commish was there too, and they were there to introduce some sponsorship with Tissot mid-game...
I was curious about their past relationship as well and dug this up: http://www.sbnation.com/nba/2014/5/6...pacers-wizards
I thought it was interesting considering that was Rasual's one and only season with the Pacers. There's the Tim and Roy relationship too. Between that and what David said he had heard from George Hill, might have influenced his decision to join the Spurs.

I think the Tissot presentation was shown on League Pass at some point. Its a reported 6 year $200 million deal. System will be implemented next season though: http://www.ibtimes.com/nba-tissot-ti...report-2126950
