So would you rather he force up? He's doing the right thing and moving the ball. Manu has always been a better playmaker than porker so I don't see why you madde the comparison.
Exactly. You're acting like his APG are low bc his usage rate is low, when in reality his usage rate is low bc he's not getting any assists (and struggles to get his shot off+draw fouls).
I'd rather he be useful. You act like his only options are to be Raul Neto or a heroballer.
Not an apologist, but remember this:
1. Sample size
2. Who cares - you're telling me you'd rather have Jarrett Jack than Parker just because his APG is all the way up at 8?
3. More ISO this year and more Leonard handling the ball
And this - http://stats.nba.com/tracking/#!/pla...TIAL_AST&dir=1 - more potential assists vs. actual assists points to guys missing shots off his passes. Green's cold as we all know, etc.
Fkla, what brand of truth flakes do you eat in the morning?
Cinnamon Truth Crunch is pretty good tbh
how do you think parker played today, specifically?
Took advantage of Calderon and scored well, did a good job of picking his spots. Didn't do much else aside from that.
what else would you want him to do
Not be a POS on defense.
Blake Griffin, a power forward, is averaging more assists per game than Porker![]()
how did the opposing guards do offensively?
so you think parker should have the ball more and a higher usage rate?![]()
I wasn't talking specifically about this game.
I was. I asked specifically what FkLA thought about Parker's performance in this game.
As an opposing fan, yes, please let Rique dribble dribble dribble and chuck to his heart's content. Gives us a better chance of winning.![]()
thanks for confirming that you're full of
why doesnt parker get more assists
parker should get the ball less
if you want to criticize him, fine. he's our weak link in the starting 5. but at least let your criticisms make sense![]()
Oh idk maybe be a decent defender. Maybe improve his jumpshot a little. Maybe not be such a terrible distributor.
He's seemingly accepted his role player status but he's still pretty ty at most things good role players are supposed to excel in.
7-12 from the field, 16 pts, 3 assists, 0 turnovers, 29 minutes... isn't this what you want? Parker was efficient, didn't turn the ball over, and took fewer shots than Kawhi & LMA... doesn't this show that he's understanding his new role?
was his defense poor tonight? how did knicks guards do offensively? was his jumper bad today? i felt like he was knocking them down at a reasonable rate.
that usage argument is such bull... he was bad last year and still had a usage rate north of 24%... he's at 17% this year because he has accepted smaller role and is handling the ball much less
i would think you guys would be thrilled that Parker's usage rate is down, but now ur somehow managing to whine about that too
Exactly... Parker, older now, is no longer the player he once was. I can't understand how the krew here continues to find this so astonishing.
Half of spurstalk last year thought Tony was going to regain his form.
I ain't gonna bump any of those threads.![]()
