This just isn't the same NBA anymore...it's like the NFL without the Patriots or Brady\Bel. I know it's great watching this epic demise for you guys but it's just not the NBA anymore and this might be the end of the Lakers franchise for a long time with Jim Buss at helm. I still try to watch the Laker games but its frustrating and still moderately enjoy the playoffs but the sport feels like a novelty at this point.

The NBA is great. The Lakers being a trainwreck entertains the basketball community just as much as them being an unstoppable villain.
Worse thing that could happen in this case is the Lakers turning into Randy Pfund era Lakers, which will probably happen in the next few years. A mediocre, boring team that wins 35-40 games per season.
i believe the nba was never as popular and fun to watch as it is now.
The 90s are considered the golden era of the nba and the Lakers were trash in the 90s.

Lakers are the Kardashians of the NBA, airheads worship them but anyone w/ dignity wouldn't never give them a praise. 75% of Lakers fans are Mexicans who can't name you the Lakers starting 5 or shrimp Chinese who are enamored w/ brand-names & are still voting Kobe to the All-Star game.

The Lakers are a completely unnecessary team tbh. Any single team is including our Spurs and I'm fine with admitting that. ESPN is always mad when LA, NY, and CHI teams are all ty because it means less ratings when they spam those teams for their national broadcasts. Meanwhile when fans vote for games on NBAtv they ALWAYS pick the good teams ESPN and TNT don't televise much; unless by chance it's a juggernaut match between two high end large market teams.

Wrong, and the analogy is wrong too. The NBA is fine, and to the extent that it's lacking, it has nothing to do with the Lakers. The NFL would be fine without the Patriots, too.
