Thankfully Leonard and Green are far and away better defenders than anyone on this Clippers team. Still, until the Spurs find their chemistry with all the new pieces they aren't in the same tier as either of these teams.
The Clippers barely beat the worst playoff Spurs team since the RJ days......it's the Dubs and everybody else right now tbh....

Doc Rivers tryna argue with the refs when his team is almost 20 points down. Its not even halftime.
Wish he'd yell at his pet players (Jamal and Auscrub) instead. As soon as those two gots stepped on the court, we lost.

This reminds me of the 2009 Lakers, unfortunately..a lot of false hope that the other 50+ win teams in the West can beat them, but probably not..

Exactly. As of now the Spurs are a tier below the team that barely lost to the worst Spurs playoff team in 4 years.

The clippers arent bad, at all, per se. theyre just badly built. too many odd pieces (Lance, Jamal, Josh) to fit a non-existent scheme.

Its like someone built a team using a 2K Fantasy draft.

and even if they DID have a competent coach and scheme their bench would still be horribly disjointed because they dont have a bench general to steward the offense. CP3 cant play 48 minutes.

Clippers can keep it close if Paul, Griffin and Jordan play 40+ minutes, tbh..as long as that bench unit doesn't play more than 1 minute..

Could be. I see a lot of the same flaws in this Dubs team as last year, but the West as a whole might've actually gotten weaker via subtraction by addition.

Last year's team had another run in them, too. They owned the Warriors all regular season and were peaking going into the playoffs, but Fatboy derailed us and Leonard lost his offense after game 3.

It is unfathomable to me that most people thought the Spurs were going to be the favorites to win the West. I am laughing at these NBA "experts"

Not buying it. will inevitably put Jamal and Auscrub in again, and we will go back to getting housed again.

Spurs and Thunder could challenge them, in theory, but both teams have a lot to work on to get to that point, tbh..the current Spurs' ISO-ball would get swept by GS, same with OKC and their non-existent defense..

Flaws? LMAO. What flaws? Not having a good old 1980's big man offense and a mid range game? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I laugh at the people that did not believe the Warriors were going to be even better than last year!
Klay seems to have regressed but continuity & Curry playing out of his mind is masking it.

Really hope the Spurs gel and can draw Golden State in the playoffs.

They're far and away the best team in the league right now but I still think the Spurs would roll them in a series tbh

I love how you think a 6 game sample size is conclusive enough to say Klay has regressed!

Everybody is even better than last year! Stephen, Harrison, Klay, Draymond, and even the vets!

Yop. Another great shot at a le wasted. Still wanna see how the Spurs look come February/March, butI'm really worried Pop's love of Porker is gonna kill them again.

Honestly, Lance is getting a raw deal so far this year. He's looked good, but he gets frozen out and arbitrarily benched a lot. Dude got too much hate for the Hornets' delusional idea that he could be a first option, tbh.

Our biggest issue is having no dribble-drive perimeter scoring threat. Parker can't do it anymore, and Kawhi lacks the handles and vertical to really ever be a great finisher at the rim. He's nice in the post, but I don't know if you can build your offense around wings in the post anymore. Defenses are too fast.

    Love our defense, though.

Tendency to go into long droughts on offense due to chucking, lack of discipline, still a lot of over-reliance on Curry, and second banana in Thompson sucking just to name a few. Might not end up mattering because as of now Golden State is way better than everyone else, but they can be beat.
